Depends on what you call new. It has the new 6th gen cpu in it, like every other "gaming" laptop.All the hardware is as new as it gets when it comes to performance.

a 965m is a 965m there is no difference in performance between the same model of GPU. I think you mean the 960 is less powerful than the 965.

No. There's 2 variants of the 965M. This current one is the rumoured 965M "Ti".

Then say 965m TI and not just 965m. The chance of that coming out is little if you ask me since the new gen desktop GPUs are pretty close and mobile GPU will follow pretty quickly.

Because it is not marketed as the 965M Ti, why should I even say it? It would confuse people even further.

No because then they know it's not the normal 965m you are talking about. 

 

EDIT: If they make a new version it will most likely be called a 965mx like they did with the 940m, where the new model is named 940mx.
