how can i know if my motherboard will support overclocking

im building a computer and i want to know if my motherboard supports overclocking for my CPU, i will be using a gigabyte h97 micro atx, and if it supports overclocking i would be able to spend the extra 20$ on the 4690k

all answers are appreciated.

H97 will only OC a G3258.  If you want to OC get a Z board.

Generally Z-series boards are for overclocking.

for intel you have to have a Z or X chipset

what kind of z motherboard should i go for, here are the parts for the build:        motherboard: ?
