Virtual Ram?

Was hoping some could explain what it means to have 4Gb of Virtual Ram on my server, I m new to using my own hardware just trying to learn

Virtual RAM I believe is the portion of the drive reserved for a page file. It's there in case the system runs out of RAM. It can dump some stuff there for other programs to use.
