Picking the appropriately sized PSU?

So I'm upgrading my old computer that I've had for about four years now. Specifically, it's this model I picked up from New Egg quite some time ago, and I had some questions about power supplies.

My number one main concern, is how do I know it's going to fit? Should I take my PSU out, or take the panel out and measure it, then buy accordingly? The case is 8.5 inches deep, or wide depending on what your perspective is, so does this mean I can buy one that's roughly that wide? PSU's come in so many sizes.

Also, I'm planning on picking up this graphics card for my case. I know how to change a video card out, and all that jazz. It's just the power supply I'm worried about.

I've already calculated how much wattage I'll need - roughly 700W - so a recommendation would be nice as well.

If that's the case it's in, any standard ATX 700W PSU will fit.

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

Well, the GTX 970 only needs a 550W PSU. Basically, measure the length, find a reliable company that has one in that size, and buy it.

Ewww B1 series. @friendshipguy choose something from tiers 1 to 4 on this list (don't worry, PSUs are made to standard sizes):

Also, I highly recommend an R9 390 (from anyone except Asus and Gigabyte) instead of a GTX 970 because it has double the VRAM and performs basically the same whilst usually costing less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150729 (Costs $279.99 after rebate). Also, you'd need a 550W PSU MAX for a single GPU system.
