TheMidnightNarwhal

Hello, I won't be able to have ethernet cabl, yes I know... so I need an alternative, I need a good wireless adapter, preferably PCI-E since it's better than USB. Thanks for the suggestions.

What's your budget?

This is a pretty good inexpensive one : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwdn4800

Not much, max 40$

Heard of that one... might change that with the one I had in mind, ASUS pce-n15

I use an asus pce-n15 and I've never had issues with it during gaming.

Yeah, what I had in mind.

To be honest I know how HQ ASUS stuff is for sound card, motherboards and all, but for a wireless adapter TP-Link is just fine. I'm pretty sure you'll be limited by your connection before you're limited by your adapter =P

Doesn't really get better than the WDN4800.

My router is Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router WRT160Nv2

The router is pretty meh and you wouldn't really be able to take advantage of a killer wireless card anyway.

If you just want to get a good wireless card: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwn881nd

If you want a balls to the walls card and are going to upgrade your router: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwdn4800

I bought that first one and I didn't know I needed a dual band one specifically so I had to order a Rosewill. It's worked out for me thus far.

You don't need a dual band router--it's just a feature.

No, but i need it. My speed was literally halved without the dual band and I was crying. I couldn't run streams at 1080p.

That's not what dual band is. Dual band means you can run 2 separate frequencies at once.

I stream 1080p fine without it.
