Quiet Brand of r9 390?

I'm going for a quiet build, but I'm willing to sacrifice sound on a GPU for performance. I'll be using a Define R5 with 3 of the stock fans.

Sapphire or MSI is what I would go with.

strix. ive had windforce, acx 2.0 and strix cooling solutions, last worked best for me.

I've used DC2 and MSI's coolers. DC2 is barely audible so strix is dead silent.

Msi is by far the quietest of the cards. Asus is really mediocre in this last gen.

Dcu2 and 3 were ok ish on the 900 series as was strix, but it really isn't good at handling the higher load from the 390x. The twin frozr 5 however is so insanely strong and quiet I wish they put that ultrabeefy version on the 980 ti.

How about the XFX 390? Is it any good?

XFX coolers as of lately are very bad at actually cooling the GPU and will let it reach higher temps than most people are ok with.

As for Asus, the 900 Nvidia series cards have beeen meh but that doesn't mean anything for the R9 300 series.

EDIT: My experience with MSI has been rather loud as the fan was set at 40% minimum thus being louder than I'd like. My current Asus DC2 GPU has a minimum of 20% - about half.

It's not like you can't run fans at 20%

MSI wouldn't allow me on my 6850 and it was @35*C idle and 62*C under load. Always at 40% fan speed.

Asus strix cards don't even turn the fans on with a light load on them and Sapphire, it's sapphire - if they took a brick, put a heatsink on it and sold it, it'd still be better than the 960 ^_^

Really.... You are talking about a 6850 and claiming that has any relevance to current performance?

I have the XFX 390, and I had the XFX 290 as well, I think they are pretty nice.  My 390's temperature maxes out at 61c with a 100mhz overclock on Battlefield 4, and on GTA V it maxes at around 53c.  It is decently quiet as well, my stock H80i cooler fans were louder than the fans on this GPU are.
