My Asus RT-N66R gets out to 450 feet with 63% signal. But other then that good luck finding anything that has that kind of range!

Which router out there would give me the longest possible range. Yes, i can do antenna upgrades if neccessary, but one important note: IT MUST BE omni-directional.

My asus ac router can go all over my house and it's property.

Desk: monitors 3x Asus VE248h(eyefinity), Keyboard Cm Strom Trigger(mx red), Mouse Corsair m65, Headset Audio Technica ATH-M50

im talking like 2000 feet in each direction, or close to it, AS FAR AS POSSIBLE

 

-im jsut trying to avoid repeaters as much as possible

:( its fairly easy to upgrade antenna's as long as its a router that has removable antennas. Im thinking i could get a YAGI antenna along with a good router and that should be able to do it. any suggestions?

Yagi antennas are not omin-directional. and AFAIK there is no reason why you could not use the same antenna with AC as it operates within the same frequency ranges as n. And do you have Line of sight to the devices that need to be connected?

nope, through walls, in a building.

Then a Yagi antenna would not be suitable and you would not be able to get 2000 feet of range without repeaters.

thank you. now i just need to find a decent N router and ill be good to go. less than $100 would be great. no more than 120 though, must be able to handle like 20-30 wifi clients at once.

I think it is worth noting that a lot of equipment has their range limited because of laws. You are not allowed to output as much energy as you want.

 

Why do you want a 2000 feet radio on your coverage?
