GTA V - savegame restore (from Social Club?)

Hi guys,

I need to restore the singleplayer game progress after Win 7 reinstall, any help would be appreciated.

This is the situation:

- it's Steam version of GTA V

- Steam Library is on a separate (non C:) drive so the game files sould be untouched by the reinstall

- Documents folder is on a separate (non C:) drive, it should go untouched as well. I just re-linked it to the user after the OS reinstall as usual.

Now, having everything set up this way, I was fairly confident I can reinstall the system without losing anything. Uplugged all but the system drive, reinstalled Win and all stuff that goes with it, re-linked users to their docs folders.

After launching GTA, I logged into Social Club and started the game, but the progress was gone and I was welcomed with the very first mission.

It seems that all local save game data got overwritten, but checking the Social Club, the progress is still there.

Do any of you have experience with forcing the game to load the single player data from the Social Club cloud or do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Eexxon

From what I've read the game does not back up single player progress to any online cloud system, only local single player saves.

The social Club makes note of your progress for the purpose of achievements and viewing progress online but it does not actually back up the save.
