Does it matter about jet plates used in EK Supremacy EVO block?

GTX

Hi everyone, I've got my loop working and tempatures are ok but not excellent. When I installed the block I left the default jet plate installed as well as the insert. Will it make a difference in temps if I change the jet plate? I am using socket 1150 but it gives no recommendation of which to use.

use whatever jet place distributes the fluid vertically. considering your chip is delidded, I'm sure you know that the core is vertical under the Heat Spreader

edit: but I don't see why it'd make that much of a difference. amount of radiator area is probably a bigger determining factor.

The default jet plate that is installed, is J1,which is the optimal jet plate for sockets LGA2011 and LGA 1366. To have the best optimal experience, You will need to install the J2 jet plate with the Default I1 insert for LGA1150.

Yeah but they all have are all positioned vertically?

Oh right, do you know what tempature differeneces i'll be looking at? Im not dismantling the loop if it's not going to be worth it...

Thanks for the replies.

To be honest, I really cant answer that, Ive always just fallowed the instructions and have got good results with both the EVO and the original Supremacy. For me on the EVO though, I have a LGA2011 system and fortunately for me, I did not have to change anything on the EVO to be optimized for me.

IMO, I would do the recommendations that EK says for the best performance though, just so you know you are getting the best out of the block as you can.

It's probably not worth it to tear apart the rig just for changing it but just remember to do it on the next scheduled mantainence cleaning.
