Running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) in VirtualBox

Hello LTT community!

I've heard good things about OS X Yosemite, and would like to try it out myself. The problem is, I don't have a Mac, and the only option is a VM. I found a guide some time ago on how to run Mavericks in VirtualBox, but nothing for Yosemite. Does anybody know how to do this? I have Windows 8.1 64-bit running on a quad-core AMD chip with 8GB RAM. Thanks.

I'd just make a partition or take a temp harddrive and install it as a Hackintosh, VM will probably be a crappy experience.

VMs are totally fine.

this is probably the only place i'll hang out anymore: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/274320-the-long-awaited-car-thread/

If you have Windows 8, I would use Hyper-V instead.

That's for 8.1 Pro.

I thought virtual box supported mac but to legly do it you will need a mac to get Yosemite anyway and download it through the app store and extract a image.

Of course, it depends on the PC you VM also. Mavericks on my laptop on virtual box was great.
