Okay so i need help choosing ram for my new build i have decided on using the Intel 4970K Cpu on a ASUS Maximus Hero VII Motherboard. I am a little stuck with what Ram would be best for this combo?

WHat's the use of this build? and the maxiumus VII may be useless fr you if you dont need those extra features, and even cheaper motherboards can do the same the maximus VII can do.

Okay, so i want to use this computer for mainly for high end gaming. I am looking playing games like 'Assetto Corsa, Project cars, GTA 5 (when it comes out)' With those racing simulation games my aim is to be running triple screen setup.

Then i will also be playing other games like 'day Z, Payday 2, and star citizen'. Outside of gaming i will also be using the computer for  video editing, photoshop and lightroom.

i would say go 1600mhz. You doing video editing etc etc and you want it to be reliable. For gaming Ram doesn't make a huge difference if any at all. Spend money elsewhere like faster ssd or better GPU or save towards next upgrade

Now the Ram frequency you are telling me, is that the tested speed or the SPD?

Because i was looking at the Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133 MHz as it was only $3.00 difference in price? But what is confusing me is the fact that the 4790K has a max frequency of 1600 MHz? This is where i am becoming confused because this ram here 'http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=186_538_913&products_id=23772' has two different speeds. One is the 'Tested Speed' the other is the 'SPD' which one does the CPU max out on?

You can go for Ram above 1600mhz with a max volts of 1.65v but that's consider overclocking and not officially supported. It might work or it might not. I tried 2133 on my pc can couldn't see any gains in performance compared to my 1600mhz modules. I'm still saying stick with 1600mhz.

SPD is the official specs that your cpu can handle (1600mhz) and xmp is the overclocked profile. Like I said go 1600mhz and be done with it.

Also i am considering a full watercooling loop (cpu, gpu) but what i am double thinking is the fact i got to lots of LAN Parties and i am afraid that it will either leak, or affect it in some way? Does anyone know if Liquid cooling is safe for putting in a car and transporting to lan parties?

If you're considering watercooling and you want to wrestle every ounce of performance you can from the chip, then this is likely far more appropriate. If you will be rendering purely on your graphics cards then the 1600 MHz RAM with CAS Latency of 7 will be perfectly fine.

This is the build my Dad will have for the next 10 years. Add a GPU, change to cheaper fans if you want, get rid of the Indigo TIM, but that reservoir and pump are insanely good for any serious cooling loop.

As per transport, just drain the loop before transport. Most modern rads have a screw on the bottom you can take out to drain from. Just don't transport it absolutely full. What remains in the reservoir at that point is likely inconsequential. Power cycle the pump with the rad screw removed until the pump starts sucking air. It'll be fine after that.
