Samsung SSD (price) VS> Intel 730 SSD

Two things: What is up with the insane EVO 840 price drop? It is at $135 right now.

And if I had the choice between the EVO 840 and Intel 730 SSD's, then which one should I opt out for?

The EVO is not on a price drop... that is regular price. The EVO is a very affordable drive at nearly 50 cents per GB

The intel drive is datacentre grade, and will be much more reliable, but at a much higher cost, over $1/GB

If you can afford it, go with the 730 series and you will have a very reliable drive for all your data.

The EVO is a bit faster though, and most people go for it because of the price.
