What to pick?

Go to solution Solved by DoubleY,

1440p. Save for something like the GTX 870 or 880.

Sooo I've got to make a choice soon! I'll be getting a graphics card either when maxwell releases or in a couple months (Probably a 770 if I get it in a couple of months) and will probably be getting an extra screen with that, maybe two.

I'm currently using an Ilyama ProLite E2473HDS -- http://www.iiyama.com/gb_en/products/prolite-e2473hds-1/ --
and a pretty old Samsung monitor (1280x1024) for forums, music players, skype, etc.

I want to expand that once I get my upgraded graphics card. I want to either get ONE 1440p screen or two extra 1080p screens (also 23.6'' if possible) for gaming primarily. . I'll primarily player Starcraft II which will NOT utilize multiple monitors but other games like WildStar (when it's optimized) probably will as well as other recent and upcoming games, and I'd love to play those in Multiple monitor setup/1440p

What do you think I benefit more from in this case and what is really superior to another? If I get the 1080p screens I'll be stuck on 1080p for an extra while, while 1440p might be a bit hard to run and I'll only have one (or two if I keep using this main monitor as my 2nd screen) for a good amount of time.

Thanks in advance!

I love StarCraft

if you get a 770 probably only have 2gb of vram and that's not really enough for any of those solutions. so either go amd with an 290- 290x if you can get one in the price range, or get a  4gb 770. then I would recommend going with 1440p

PC specs.3570k, asus p8z77m pro, 8gb corsair vengence 1600MHz, XFX 550w, seagate barracuda 1TB, MSI 660ti, cooler master k350, cooler master hyper tx3 evo.
