Facebook To Buy Oculus Rift For $2 Billion

Thinking about it more, I don't think it's completely bad news. The funding should help to make better Rifts, and it has been stated several times that Oculus will work independently within Facebook.

Privacy is my main concern, and how they plan to monetise it. But we'll come to that bridge in time, right now, for the short term, this is good news.

What on Earth gives you the idea that Sony would've done any different?

 Maybe because Sony is a big Japanese company and didn't start from Kickstarter?

Are you seriously comparing the environment and era in which Sony grew to what Oculus is dealing with? Really?

Please, learn how to business before comparing Oculus and Sony.
