atomic pi is a good option if you want x86 at 35 to 40$  but i recommend an arm sbc at your budget

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

Do you mind used? You can get some small form factor used desktop for that amount, like a dell 7010 sff or micro, and those will be much faster than most small pcs with low end atoms.

Plex? There's no need to run Windows server for Plex, heck it will run on Windows 7 if needs be. Windows Server is only required if you want Active Directory Domain Services, a Hyper-V server or you need advanced networking features like DHCP & DNS servers. Almost everything you would want to do at home can be done on normal Windows.

I'm running Windows Server 2019 on an Intel NUC however this is not a supported setup, I had to hack the network adapter driver to work with server since Intel arbitrarily do not support it despite it obviously working fine.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

I run my home server from windows 10. So getting a separated pc for streaming from network is what i want.how could i get best performance from atomic pi?

To use it from windows file explorer network section .it is a server for me and mi family for media only. They dont know much about that type of complex way of using more dificult Gui.

So im keeping it simple

idont recommend atomic pi because it has a 15g mmc and you will need an extenal drive it does have usb 3 and a bizarre usb 2 header and if you want to stream media you better install 32bit windows

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here
