How to install windows on nvme ssd that i just add to the laptop?

Vansnity

I'm totally beginner in this. Currently my laptop has 1tb hdd and I just bought 500gb nvme m.2 ssd. After installing the ssd, where should I start. I want to do a fresh install because right now windows 10 not behaving properly. The keyboard input language randomly change to the language that I don't even select. BUT, a fresh install mean I have to re-download all the program (solidwork, matlab, 3dsmax) which is going to take days. Should I proceed with fresh install or mirror only the OS from hdd to ssd?

What happen to the windows 10 file in hdd after I install the windows 10 on ssd? it got deleted or it remains there?

Is it physically possible to do the fresh install and mirror the installed program to the ssd? like android where you can backup app before installing new rom.
