Well with school next year not a for sure thing what laptop do I look at?

So last year I bought my one son a new laptop for school the other one used my traveling laptop and they worked great. I started to look into laptops to upgrade my other son and I find that I get caught up the second I see an Intel labtop I just dismiss it right away.  I used to be an intel fan but now I just wonder if any anything I see is worth the money that is charged for it

if they already have laptops then technically nothing would be worth it

I would get Dell G15 SE (ryzen 5 version ). This would last for long time. I am personally using an old AMD Lenovo laptop  (A10-4600M AMD APU ) and with Linux it works as smoothly as when I bought it in 2013.

AMD graphics drivers are open source and hence you will face no problems for years to come plus this model offers a great performance even for heavy CAD and design.
