explorer.exe doesn't remember my icons position WINDOWS 10

y0ur5h4d0w

hi guys! my windows 10 pro v2004 don't remember my icon positions, or better, often at startup if have to summon the task manager and manually restart the explorer process to have my icons in the right positions, the only thing i have modified was the registry key that controls the spacing between icons, but to be honest it never caused any issue in past versions and i don't think it's the problem here too.. what cause the system to "temporary forget" the icons position?

Henlo,

have you tried this steps?

  • Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
  • Type %userprofile%, and then hit Enter.
  • Click View tab.
  • Under Show/hide option, place a check mark under Hidden items.
  • Choose AppData folder.
  • Right-click IconCache, and then click Delete.

after doing this, and at the first restart it actually kept my icon layout, hope it keeps these positions cached ^^" thanks :D
