MSI 2080ti Gaming X Trio - No Display

Hey everyone, I am currently having an issue that really seems to be common with this GPU. This will be a lengthy post to inform whoever reads this of what I have done so far.

First machine I tested this on..

MSI Z-370 A Pro

I7-9700k

750w PSU

Windows 10 Home

Previosuly had a 1660 Nvidia Gigabyte GPU

I came home put the new 2080 in, plugged in the DP cable and nothing.. "no signal". Disabled my Intel graphics, Rebooted nothing. Booted into safe mode, did msconfig / minimal, DDU uninstalled all old Nvidia Drivers. Installed new graphics card tried to install drivers that I downloaded from their website.(yes my internet was cut off). Nvidia did the typical error, where it doesn't see my GPU. Checked Device manger and sure enough nothing.. Plugged in my old gpu to make sure my PCIex16 slot was still working and 1660 booted right up..

Next, replaced motherboard to a H370M gigabyte, never been used before.. installed 2080ti as if it was a new build and nothing.. "no signal" checked the BIOS to ensure PCIe slot was enabled, and that CSM was enable. Talked to Nvidia they gave me the run around got fed up and stuck the 1660 in there, booted right up.. My GPU has to be DOA right? I mean I have spent 3 days after work researching and researching and this is very very common.. Neither MB recognized my gpu in the bios. PCIe x16 N/A

I have done a lot more than this, this is just the main routes to go to fix a gpu not showing a display.. Thanks for your time. - Joey

i had a similar issue once...had to install windows fresh from the IGPu and then it worked.

Are you working on a new install of windows or do you have some old shit on your drives?

But...if you tested with other cards and it works...then its possible you have a bad graphics card.

I have the same ole windows and it does it's updates on it own, but I did recently move it to my 500g SSD. But my old GPU worked fine and I have never had an issue. I thought my PSU was maybe to weak but after researching that I think I am ok. I have not OC my CPU at all just to make sure.
