Well...none...

The panel of the focus g is very thin and held in with a pretty small retention mechanism. There's no way to simply replace the acrylic with glass, and without a way to cut holes into tempered glass, there's no way to make screw holes and/or resize a new panel for the case.

I guess you could try to find a piece of glass that is just right? And drill some new holes into the case. Otherwise you could look at a replacement like the cougar mx330-G

Hi everyone,

I have a Focus G (White) and was wondering if it's possible to easily mod a tempered Glass side Panel into it or if I should rather consider just buying a new case that comes with a tempered glass side panel.

What tools do you have to cut/shape glass?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Another suggestion would be to engineer the panel, create a design and get it to a specialized shop that can do the fabrication for you. I see that you are in Germany so i dont know what the availability of that kind of shop is but it might be an alternative. Cost would be a factor but the non-recurring cost of purchasing tools may offset the cost of having someone else do the fabrication.

measure the window, pop it out, flatten anything on the panel that needs flattening, and epoxy a pane of glass at least an inch larger in both directions to the inside of the panel.

I have this case. The acrylic window is not the problem per se it is the fact that it is shaped to mirror the steel one on the other side that makes it look cheap. It protudes too much - If it was flush to the panel it would be much better.

The way the window attaches to the panel is with bendable clips and the inside of the panel is not level. Cutting all that off and applying a u rubber is difficult but not impossible. I passed and just took the whole acrylic out.

I have bought a 3mm 490x490mm acrylic panel with 20mm rounded edges in a light grey tint which i am currently applying to the outside. It looks so much better.

well actually there is a company that might be able to do it. there are performance PCs in Florida. i contacted them because i wanted to replace the acrylic part on my side panel of my apevia x hermes red case with a clear one or some clear tempered glass so i could eventually put some RGB in it but i decided not to

Acrylic you can cut with a saw or whatever.

Tempered glass you CAN'T. It will just shatter.

You need the proper tools to heat / cut / shape tempered glass.

Spoiler

Don't buy tempered glass PC cases

Well, that sucks. Was just building this and glass shattered in hand without any pressure. H700i. Can anyone tell me the exact dimensions of the tempered glass please? : NZXT
