Office alternative with Android sync

Is there a good, free alternative to Office on PC that will give me an Android set of apps as well that can sync? I'd like to have the documents, spreadsheets be mainly desktop based but being able to open and edit them on Android.

I dont like cloud options. So that rules out Google.

Plus a need a full featured word processor at home like Word. I'm just getting sick of paying for Office and refuse to use a subscription for software.

I don't know if it's possible without using some type of cloud service.

 

The only other major office suite that I know of that has an Android version is WPS, and it has a feature called File Roaming.

 

That might be what you're looking for.

No what I mean is that I don't like options where you have to use the actual Office suite in the cloud. Like 365 or Google Docs. I want a program that gets installed on my computer.

Gotcha.

 

WPS would probably be your best bet then. It's got a stand alone installer for Windows and a separate Android version.
