tips for 2nd monitor?

Hey guys, 

 

I have a 1440p monitor. I found one of my 1080p monitors i used to play with in my closet so now i got two monitors. 

 

Any recommendations for setup? Also, not that my 2nd 1080p monitor is hooked up whenever i drag a box with my mouse on the desktop it makes a black box? Also how do i make it so that my 1440p monitor is the main gaming monitor?

Please be clearer on the first question. drag a box with my mouse it makes a black box ????? huh

Setting>>System>>Display>>Click which display as main>> Scroll down to the box"Make This my Main Display".

Nividia Control Panel>>Display>>Set up Multiple Display

look closely....

 

heres what im doing. Left click and dragging to make a box. and it does this.

 

also now my desktop background is all of a sudden black on both displays. instead of the car background.
