Ordered a Rev 3.0 Card, Got a Rev 2.0 card. Worth making a stink about / RMA?

Op Point Baker
Go to solution Solved by APasz,

There generally aren't any major or even appreciable differences between various revisions.

It'd only be worth the trouble of RMA if there was a thing you needed a specific revision for.

Ordered a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Windforce 2x 8GB Rev 3.0 from newegg.com on the 14th. Just got it installed and the Aorus Engine identifies it as a Rev 2.0 card.

My Googlefu is failing me as I can't seem to find out what the difference is between the two other than possible heat pipe configuration.

Is there an appreciable difference between the two revisions? If I have no plans for overclocking, does it matter?

If I'm not getting my money's worth I'll RMA it, but if it doesn't really matter, I'd rather just get on with the games.

Thanks in advance. OPB

Since it's Gigabyte, later revisions tends to be more cut down versions... I'd be glad to get a Rev. 2.0 tbh
