question Will a Nvidia GTX 1650 Super bottleneck a Ryzen 5 3600?

Planning to build a mid range rig with a ryzen 5 3600 and gtx 1650 super.. will the gpu bottleneck my cpu? should i downgrade to a Ryzen 5 3500 or cire 15 9400f?

Usually, a GPU can't beottleneck the CPU (unless doing some specific tasks in which the GPU prepares/does stuff for the CPU), it's the other way arround.

 

The CPU prepares frames for the GPU, so to say the CPU feeds the GPU. If the CPU can prepare 80 frames in a second while the GPU can render 100 frames, the GPU will render only those 80 prepared by the CPU and will sit idle nearly 20% - that's the CPU bottleneck.

 

And the Ryzen 5 3600 is able to feed cards a lot stronger than GTX 1650S, especially on higher resolutions. You're fine.

i have a 2080 and a 2700x and i'm only getting a tiny bottleneck in csgo (very cpu reliant) but not in any other games.

so you should be fine

GPU Scaling on Ryzen 3600, Better GPU's, Better Results.
You can go WAY further than your 1650 Super.

 

Also.. Cheaper CPU's info.... 3500x/9400f
I'd rather NOT lose the extra threads as they WILL be used on such low core count CPU's. (for what they are intended for - Gaming/Sidejobs)

Why not get the ryzen 5 1600 af for 85 and spend the extra hundo and upgrade to the 1660 super
