Momentus Xt 750gb No Longer Performing

TB-303

My momentus XT worked really well but since a windows reinstall it does not seem to be faster than any other 3.5" drive. I've checked for firmware and no update is needed. I've also but it as primary boot drive.

Boot times are very slow, is it just on the way out or am I missing something?

This drive caches data that is used frequently.  Use it more and performance should improve over time...

If you want to see if there are any issues with the drive you could download crystaldiskinfo, should indicate if there are any problems and if not when not really sure what to say.

Perhaps try contacting Seagate support, they might be able to help you out on this one.

My recommendation is a Samsung 840 pro 240GB...  If you want more of a mainstream drive, check out Crucial's M500 series!
