Upgrading my gf-s super slow computer

Mythology

Hi!

Before i start i want to let you know that english isn't my strongest language so i hope to write it all as readable as possible. Thank you.
My gf is a photo editor and her current pc is slow in startup and more slower when editing RAW picture files. The pc boots up for almost 5 minutes (to a point where she can start browsing the web and open her programs).

Problem lies in my knowledge of PC parts as in what to get, i have built few but those were with guides online and parts were this forums suggested so i am confident that this info here is primo.

Her goal is to run 2 programs simultaneously - Photoshop and capture one. Computers speed is the limiting factor here, pictures are in RAW format.

*Looking to upgrade, not build new (if possible)
*Budget is not really set but always cheaper is better
*Region Europe

Computer specs itself : I5-7500 3.40Ghz
RAM: 1x8GB DDR4
MOBO:Asrock H110M-DGS R3.0
HDD : 1TB
x64
PSU: havent checked yet, but her pc is a lot louder than mine though
She bought this computer from the store with the sellers words it will be the best. No GPU and no SSD and all that cost over 600 euros.
Is this upgradeable enough to make it perform faster, better and stronger?
If i forgot to add anything else, feel free to ask and point me out. Thank you!

500gb SSD would be the first thing for me, put the OS and any daily used programs on it.  Im not sure what she does that would depend on a GPU being added but that would be where I would start.  Night and day difference in loading, and multitasking with an SSD.
