CPU Over voltage error

Just yesterday I installed computer upgrades. I got a newer CPU, motherboard, AIO cooler, and memory. I put it all together and turned it on. The ROG logo comes up and it says to hit F2 or DEL to got into the BIO as it should. However I can not get it to go into the BIOS by doing that. It continues to the regular American Megatrends port screen. It is detecting everything it should on that screen memory, CPU, the USB devices I have in, and the M.2. However it says "Please enter setup to recover BIOS settings CPU Over Voltage Error" After that goes one to say "After setting up Intel(R) Optune Memory or the RAID configuration was built. SATA Mode selection must be changed to RAID mode to avoid unknown issues". Then is says to press F1 to run setup and that does nothing it just stays on the that screen.

I was able to get into the BIOS I think twice when I did it was not showing my storage devices to change the boot so I could install windows. I restarted to see if I could get it to see them. I don't think I changed anything that has to do with overclocking. Even if I did I should be able to change it back in the BIOS but I can get into it. I planned on overclocking but till I have the machine was more setup. My biggest fears fears are that the board along with the CPU are fried and can not be used.

I have made sure the keyboard works on another device. Cleared the CMOS several times using the jumper and removing the battery. I have disconnected all storage devices from the motherboard and still get the same message. Run a hard reset by unplugging and letting the power drain out then trying it again. Every time it turns on now it comes up with the same thing. I don't know what else to try.

Hardware used

9900KS

Asus ROG strix Z-290-e

Corsair H100i Platinum

Samsung evo 970 M.2

Any and all suggests are welcome. I do feel I know a fair amount when it comes to building PCs. I am just out of things to try.

Thanks

Contacted ASUS support. Very little help they tried the same things I tried. They hung on my 3 different times. Most likely will return the board and maybe the CPU.

You are using an ancient BIOS. Like, a very ancient BIOS.

That's why the CPU isn't working properly.

1105 was released April (!!!) 28th!  And you installed a CPU in it that came out last month.

You need to use the Bios flashback and upgrade.

If that board doesn't have one, you need to borrow a *P0* stepping 9900k or some low end 9100f or something and upgrade that way.

But it seems like 0900 added R0 stepping support.  I'm not an Asus guy.  I don't know what the Strix has.  It's a lower end board.  The Maximus XI boards have Bios flashback/USB flash.

The strix E is actually a mid-high end board, but I don't believe it has bios flashback, but from his description he says he can enter the bios, so he may be able to flash on the 9900ks to the most current bios.

8086k Winner BABY!!
