AMD 2600/2600x

I was looking at choosing a CPU between the 2600 and the 2600x.

I don't really think I'll end up using the OC but is the 2600x worth it?

the 2600x also seems to be out of stock pretty much everywhere.

if you spend 160$ on a motherboard, why dont you get a ryzen 5 3600?
Your motherboard is more expensive than the CPU you put in it.

these prices are all in AUD so the 2600 is $200 (AUD)

and the mobo is $165(AUD)

get ram that is at least 3000mhz.

the difference between 2600 and 2600x is not woth more than 10-20$, so don't worry about it. the rest looks good.

the mobo says it supports this ram: 

"Support for DDR4 3600(O.C.)/3466(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/2933/2667/2400/2133 MHz memory modules"

the CPU says:

System Memory Specification

2933MHz

 

is 3000MHz the best choice?
