Best 1080p 144hz monitor

SafeStrafe

Hi right now I’ve got a 1080p 60hz monitor that I have at 75hz. I have a 2070 and a i7 6700 and 16gb ram, I mostly game and watch movies and tv shows. What 1080p 144hz monitor would be best for me. I play most games

thanks

Yep, i have that same display in fact. It's good, nice deep blacks, almost no backlight bleed so it's good for movies and darker games but it has some visible ghosting\trailing but it'll be noticeable only in specific situations like when pixels switch swiftly from black to white and vice versa and you'll get used to it after some time (at least if you're switching from IPS\TN display).

IPS - best color accuracy, decent contrast, high brightness, best viewing angles, low response time, very little trailing \ ghosting

VA - average color accuracy, good contrast, low brightness on cheaper panels, decent viewing angels, somewhat high response time, noticeable trailing \ ghosting

TN - worst color accuracy, worst contrast, low brightness on cheaper panels, worst viewing angles, very low response time, very little trailing \ ghosting

Hmm, might go for a TN im not sure. I only do casual gaming, but i like to win xD. I think ill be ok with VA

It's not the input lag that's high, it's the almost the same with any display, but pixel response time when switching from extreme states (from black to white), you wouldn't notice that in your average online shooter since they're rather bright all the time and VA works good in these conditions.

also im coming from a flat screen, are the curves that noticable and do they make a difference?

It's noticeable at first but you adapt quickly, it might be even a bit weird to use flat screen after.
