Thinking of hackintosh.

I got a z97extreme4 with a 4770k that barely overclocks.  I know the thing used to hackintosh with multibeast into high Sierra, but I’m wondering about the new stuff.  Do I have a shot  with this old hardware?  Would I be able to put a card on it and play the Mac games in my steam library?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I tried with very similar hardware but I could never get the install to finish.

You could try but the newer versions are making it harder and harder to do.

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a last gen console for use once a year. I should answer most of the time between 9 to 3 PST

maybe my 580 or 970 would have worred but I didn't try.

Well I guess I can give it a shot.  It’s a few months off. My choices are a 970 and a 7950, and the 4770k iGPU.  Ideal case would be a vega64.  Unless I can find a radeonVII with a dual-link DVI port. (I am doubtful) If I can get it to go with the iGPU, I’ll start messing with cards.

Yeah. Anything Nvidia is unlikely.  iGPU first though.  It’s the most likely to function of all things, assuming Apple supported that version of the iGPU.  If they didn’t probability drops to dead zero.

Dude, I had an old 3770K running Catalina you should be totally fine, just try to avoid using multicrap tools, try to keep it vanilla as possible. :)

A vanilla install should be quite simple with that hardware

CPU: i7 3820@4.3Ghz GPU: Gtx 1060 RAM: 16gb HyperX Fury CASE: S340 Elite Cpu runs nice and hot ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
