Fraps alike for Ubuntu ?

Can some one suggest me a software for Ubuntu where i can get benchmarking scores(FPS, Loss) like FRAPS, MSI AFTERBURNER

Hi Harsha, I could not find any up to date FPS counter. Personally, I used GLXOSD. But note that you may take a performance hit when using it though. It's discontinued by the maintainer for some personal reasons. But I suggest giving a try.

By the way, as you are Indian, can you recommend some local offline or online store to get computer parts. Importing parts is just freaking expensive. @Harsha Varma

That store is half empty. I cannot find any older cards and CPUs there. I'm looking for something like a h61m board. AliExpress is garbage. But I can't find any older stuff at MD.

I would just use the steam fps counter. Add a none steam game/application to steam library and enable fps counter in the setting page. 

 

 

Other than that, all you have left are terminal to dump logs of the fps to a file and crunch the numbers to get average/min/max fps out of it. No screen overlay for you.
