Dual column for ultrawides

I think it would be neat to be able to read posts/comments in dual column for ultrawide. Have shorter pages such that two columns on an ultrawide is a page, and next page to read more. Not sure if this is possible within the limitations of the current system but it'd be neat if it was.

For my own curiosity, could you explain why this would be useful?

I think a have an idea of what you mean, but would like to try and get a clearer picture.

Ah ok. I figured. Though I don't see your idea being something the board devs (not Mortis, but Invision) would spend time on when you could just snap two windows side by side.  It just seems like a solution to a problem no one really has.

It sounds reasonable in theory, but doesn't work very well in practice (screenshot taken on a 2560px wide monitor @ 1x dpi).

Oh yes, as an ultrawide user myself looking at the example above makes me doubt the idea would work out as well as expected

I have a reddit extension that looks like this, so maybe just for the front page? I could see comment threads being difficult, but the forum homepage should work pretty well, I think
