Well that is true... But will the third party 5700 XTs still be 400$??

Yeah, i mean Obviously theres gonna be "Premium" cards like asus's rog strix series but many aib's sell cards at msrp, as they do with with many other gpu's. I kinda wanna dump a little more cash into something like a strix or sapphire card but thats just me.

I am building a new PC and want to overclock the ryzen 5 3600 or the 3600X (Haven't decided yet).

Which of these will perform the best for me?

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition:

Arctic Freezer 34 Esports DUO Edition:

Thx in advance!

Just use the included stock cooler? they are pretty fine as is and neither the aftermarket coolers that are within your budget will be much of a step up. AMD unlike Intel actually ships decent coolers.

I was told in another post that the stock cooler doesn't quite do it for the 3600...

Is it for gaming? What GPU will you be using and what display settings?

yes, it is for gaming.

I am using a 5700 (and if I can get a little bit more budget I might buy the 5700XT as my GPU over the ryzen 5 3600X as my CPU).

I am playing on 1080p 75Hz but might upgrade to 144Hz and/or 1440p.

Well you could just use the stock cooler if you want a way to afford the 5700 XT now, you see for 75hz/75fps you won't be CPU limited at 95% of all games there is, so you really don't have a hurry to overclock it.

Oh wait but the 5700XT isn't really reasonable with the stock version of it isn't it?

(Like If I want to get the 5700 XT I really should wait till mid-august for the 3rd party manufacturers versions).

Final question. I promise.

Do you think I should Save the 50$on the GPU and spend more on a better PSU???

Or maybe you have a better PSU for around the same price?

If you dont overclock and use a 5700xt and 3600x you should be ok, but i wouldn't overclock anything as a pc with those parts would draw somewhere in the neighborhood of 400-450ish watts. So it'll be fine, but maybe plan on upgrading your psu down the line if you want more power.

Heres stress test results from Gamers Nexus. Clock speeds start at 3:30ish and thermal results start at 4:40ish

It wont throttle with fan speed up but it'll get damn near close in a longer test, i would just wait tbh
