What's good for coding +gaming ?

My friend is going to buy a new laptop for coding + gaming (900-910 USD)when I asked which systems are you considering he said only intel and when I asked why he said he did some research on YouTube and AMD is not good for coding ???? Is it true?

Well we got IRN but in USD it's around 910 usd
