ARGB LED strip length?

Aaralli

I am starting to experiment with RGB in my computer, and I'm wondering if I can actually take the lighting strips from my motherboard connection to outside my case, and if I can, how long they can be before something goes wrong. I currently only have a few rgb fans on a splitter to one of two rgb connectors on my motherboard, RGB RAM, and RGB on my graphics card.

PC Specs are:

Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16gb 3200mhz (2x8gb)

Graphics Card: MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1669 Ti (with RGB on it if that helps)

Power Supply: Bitfenix Formula Gold 650 Watt

Storage: Adata SU655 960GB, Adata SU800 1TB, and Seagate Constellation ES 3TB

Case: Cooler Master MB500

So, I want to know how long I could get RGB strips connected to only one connector on my motherboard, and whether or not it's a dumb idea to actually take this lighting strip OUSTIDE of my case to the walls...

Your motherboard manual will tell you how much you can connect.
But i can already tell you it wont be enough for any considerable length. (Unless you use some sort of powered repeater.)

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

There are LED strips you can buy on Amazon that have wall plugs and then you connect the header to your motherboard.... I think some are as long as 20 feet
