Custom ROMs always crash when I lock the screen - Moto Z Play

Spoiler

Hello there! So i'm having a weird problem with android custom ROMs.

So i used a galaxy S5 with Lineage OS 16 as my daily driver for almost 3/4 months, it was an okish experience. Now i got a Moto Z Play and im currently using it as my daily driver for a couple days. And i wanted to install lineageOS on it, or any ROM that is Android Pie on it. But the problem is every damn time i try to install a custom rom in my device (XT1635-02 BTW) it has the same odd bug, whenever I lock the screen it resets when i try to unlock. And i have no idea why... (It aparently works in other devices just like mine, same model that is) does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?

just dont stick with only 1 rom. and look through comments on xda forum.

I've actually tried 4 ROMs. LineageOS, Xperience, Carbon and AOiS. All of em have the same bug, and apparently this happens only to me(?), Other ppl with the exact same model have it working just fine.

pretty much certified then...

more things to try first before giving up

- not install gapp first

- try another launcher apps

- switch back to stock rom....

- never switch off screen...

- (if you know which apps are related) try disable them in lucky patcher

This happens if you do a dirty flash. Did you do it ? Wipe your phone COMPLETELY and install the ROM.

Im currently running the stock rom on it, never switching off the screen isn't really an option lol. I have tried not installing gapps and it didn't work either

So what im thinking of doing next, trying to look into both, LineageOS code and stock rom code and look at screen and lockscreen parameters to see what changes from one to another and see if i can change a little something that is causing this and solve the problem

As expected from someone who knows nearly nothing about this i couldn't even find where those are located. At least I learned some new things along the way...
