LG 27UK600-W HDR10 4K FreeSync

Hello

Yesterday i got my new monitor, i am a little bit in the dark on FreeSync/Gsync.

Does anyone know what is going on exactly with this new Freesync compatibility with Nvidia.

And if it does affect my monitor?

If it has freesync over DP then it should be automatically enabled, and if it isnt then enable it in the Nvidia Controlpanel

I was looking in the control panel, there is no option for either ....

i dont remember exactly how it goes, and there are tutorials on youtube that tell you exactly how to do it. 

 

also you need the up to date drivers for it to work.

I installed all the latest drivers from LG, when i enable Freesync, it moves everything to the 2nd screen (1080p) that i dont have access as the mouse wont go there

its not LG Drivers. why would it be LG drivers?

 

you need to have up to date Nvidia drivers.

Yes but when i enable it, it seems to work, shows in Control Panel... but something is wrong with the dual monitor setup......

then tweak the setup in windows.

Well, my conclusion is, that i have to shut down the 2nd screen when i want to use FreeSync....

EDIT: should i even bother, what would i gain?

so you are not gonna go through the extra steps of changing settings to see what works and perhaps reinstalling drivers etc.

Well it works fine when only the Freesync screen is on.

But what will i gain in game?

I dont have the best rig for 4K

you will have a second monitor while benefiting from freesync.

4k is not worth it. stick to 1440p. 

 

the simple fact is that not a lot of hardware can run 4k properly and there is no real high refresh option
