Left Stereo Speaker Not Working

Using a 2-Male RCA adaptor cable I connected my stereo speakers to my monitor. That worked great. I later decided to try to connect my speakers to my motherboard.

As I unplugged the speakers, I forgot to turn them off. Now, my left speaker no longer seems to work (no audio) with the motherboard nor the monitor.

I have ordered a new adaptor cable, as I suspect that it's damaged. But I'm concerned if it's something more serious. Perhaps the speakers themselves sustained damage? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :)

The speakers probs arent dead. i dont think a manufacturer would use amps that could kill the drivers. probably just a dead adapter cable. Speakers dont die from the input being pulled out, amps mostly only die if the supply and ground (most people call them positive and negative) are touched together which would produce a 0 Ohm load.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
