Sweet lol. I have a new motherboard coming in tomorrow so I was wondering if I would be able to not have to deal with the annoying extra cable coming out of my PC

Props to Walmart, I didn't know they sell RGB strips.  Maybe Fry's or Best Buy but I guess Walmart is on top of their game now.

Yeah they are simple 6doolar affairs, but they aren’t terrible, especially if I can make them work with software control

Well, the connector is 4pin 5V so presumably it should work with any normal header so when my new 1200 and motherboard come in the mail probably tomorrow, I was going to try and use ASRock Polychrome

It does work lol there is no difference between the one 12v strip from walmart and a 12v strip from someone else as long as it's the same connector i use two of them on a msi x470 i can change it using myistic light 3 no problems

Neat, thanks. I hadn’t tried it yet, I was still a little worried about bricking my board
