Need help choosing a cpu for server

Id personally go with the dual xeons as you get much more ram that is cheaper. You will probably be ram limited before your cpu limited here.

 

Im guessing you will need 128gb of ram, probalby 256gb will be nice.

 

What are you doing for storage? Id get a few big ssds for the vms.

You wanna make minecraft server too? I’m trying to make a Bukit/spigot game with multiple lobby and game. I have dual X5675 64gb ddr3 ram and they told me it was overkill.

Ill be using mine for wordpress and stuff like that as well ? how many servers are you running?
