Router Self Resetting........

When ever I try and download anything on any device, be it an update, picture, song from Spotify or a game, my router seemingly resets itself due to the 'mass' data flow. I have had three different routers from my ISP and the only thing that has changed is the tolerance to how fast the download is before a complete reset. 

 

Really what I'm trying to ask is there any trouble shooting I can do my end before I go out and purchase a router that my or my not work?

Unfortunately troubleshooting steps on issues like this on your end becomes quite limited when it comes to the edge of your network. If the modem/router has been replaced outright & more than once with the general issue continuing it sounds like the problem is on the WAN. The ISP is probably the only body that will be able to operate on the issue.

 

It's possible though the modem/router they provided 3 times is just seriously junk (they usually are) and from there you could look into buying your own modem & router to see if it improves the issue.
