Music downloader?

I know its illegal, but can someone like create a code that downloads songs just by their names. What i mean is "you give the name of the song to the program and it downloads it". Can that happens? I know it is a lot of hard work to do this and I am actually going to start programming next year in school, but I just got this random idea and if someone creates this I would be really grateful.

Here's something using youtube-dl 

youtube-dl -x --audio-format mp3 --playlist-end 1 https://www.youtube.com/results\?search_query\=<SONG NAME AND PERHAPS THE ARTIST NAME>

(it has a special query for youtube search but it doesn't seem to work for me because python hence why I just used the search URL instead)
