144Hz Freesync vs non Freesync

Dreadnought

Some people said that Freesync / G-Sync aren't even needed in a high refresh rate panel. What do you think?

Will I get a "noticable" screen tearing if I play on a 144Hz display, and my fps dips below 144fps?

yes you will see screen tearing and yes Freesync and Gsync are extremely useful and nice to have on all monitors that's why they exist ;)

From what I know,

If a 144Hz panel lacks Freesync, it will stay 144Hz all the time, so you would get a screen tearing if the fps drops below 144 fps.

But on a 144Hz Freesync panel, the refresh rate will somehow be "adjusted" with the fps. For example, when my gpu draws 90 fps, the refresh rate changed/adjusted to 90Hz, to match the fps and to eliminate screen tearing. Is that true?

yes that's how it works.

What? Why do I get screen tearing on my 75hz freensync monitor if fps is higher than 75?

Because your fps exceed your monitor's refresh rate.
