Mounting Noctua NH-D15 to AM4 motherboard

FrankGehry

I'm getting an ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate for a Ryzen 2700x. I will be cooling it using a Noctua NH-D15. I need to know if the correct mounting hardware is included with the Noctua D15, or if I need to order the mounting hardware from Noctua. I don't have the motherboard yet, so I cannot tell for myself. I ordered the standard D15, not the AM4 special edition.

it should be. Even if it somehow doesnt, you can get them from Noctua directly just by showing them your purchase invoice.

Noctua does sell an AM4 bracket and it works fine as it does with mine.  I got mine from amazon though you can definitely get one directly from noctua as well

Okay, so am I correct in thinking that AM4 mounting hardware doesn't come in the box by default?

I have seen some in MicroCenter that sell it with the AM4 mounting but it clearly says it on the box.  I can't get to the noctua site right now but I would be surprised if they don't sell a package that comes with the AM4 mount though it should say it on the box.

Since you bought the standard one, then it doesn't come with it.

If the product page on store didn't say it comes, then you can't assume that it does. But like said, Noctua will send you hardware for free when you provide proof of purchase for both cooler and CPU/mobo.

if you don't have the bracket, I'd go ahead and buy the bracket on newegg or amazon, i was poking around for my own rig and saw people saying noctua will give it for free .. however, its shipped from Austria so it may take 3-4 weeks to arrive.
