I am going to build new pc can anyone help me to make it future proof...

I pretty much aware of bulding pc and compatibility of components, chipsets and pci-e lines but I'm little bit confused between generations of processor and graphic cards because they have only minor difference generation to generation so how can I make my pc future proof....

Yea, you can't. But you can get as close as possible by ensuring you get the right processor and graphics card, that's right for you. And what is right for you may not be right for someone else..

If you tell us a little bit about what you plan to do with you PC we would be better equipped to help you find a solution.

Future Proof for how long?

The software development is already at is peak technology, nothing new that will hog the pc.

Any cpu from the last 10 years can run any today's program without problem.

Games is in its peak 1080p resolution, it will need everyone to have 4k to set a new standard.

1080p is pretty good, not everyone wants more, selling 4k to the masses is going to be hard.

If you have the money go for the latest and greatest.

Nothing is future proof, you buy intel 9900k right now, one year later there's a 1090k, and your cpu is dated.

You'll be just fine buying at least a  4 core 8 threads cpu right now for 3-5 years more.

Budget? What software? 1080p? 4k? 8k? 10-Bit color? Monitor(s) (color accuracy)?

Nothing's futureproof. However, just because someone new comes along doesn't mean your current hardware is automatically slower than it is originally. What's your budget?
