Hello. I just baught a new gpu (msi ventus 3x e rtx 4070) and a new case (phanteks g500a), and when I moved all of my stuff from my old pc to the new case, I noticed that the gpu does not seem to fit into the PCIe slot all the way. When i push the gpu in, i have to push more on the right side than the left, and when it goes in, it feels like the left side of the PCIe (on the gpu) does not "click" in as far as the right side does. I also see that when it is pushed in, the screw holes where you screw in the thumbscrews (to secure the gpu), are not aligned (I have to push the case in towards the case). Additionally, the inputs in the motherboard (by the IO shield) look like they are not aligned (like the MOB is pushed to far into the case). When I push in the gpu (as far as I can), plug in the power and DP (displayport), and start the PC, I do get signal from the gpu. I am able to log into my system (so the gpu is geting power and giving out the correct signals). But when I go to device manager or task manager, the gpu is not detected. I have tried to activate the gpu in device manager, but I only have the option to disable it (so that does not work). When I plug the DP into another port on the gpu, I get no signal (only one port works). Does anyone know what could be causing this? I suspect that the gpu is not pushed in all the way, but how is that possible? I have mounted the MOB with all the screws, but do I need some spacers between the standoffs and the MOB itself?

If I could swear, I would swear! I did my research, and I “knew” that the card I bought for my Dell Optiplex 990 SFF would fit. I WAS WRONG! Completely different bracket, completely different size, just different in EVERY WAY! I thought I could change the bracket and do this and do that but I’d rather give it back. The guy let me bring it back and get my money, so I’m coming tomorrow. So uhh…now what? What do I do!? Do I buy a new card, and how can I make sure it fits? And also it can’t be too much money. Overall, I made a BIG mistake! Sadness.

as the title says, my gpu is an msi gaming x trio 3060ti wich has 323mm of lenght and the case i want to buy is the asus tuf gt 301 wich has 320mm maximum. as you can see, the diference seems minimal only 3mm, but will be enough to fit my gpu and the rest of the sistem? motherboard: rog strix b550-f gaming cpu:ryzen 5 5600x cpu cooler: noctua nh-u12s chromax black gpu: msi gaming x trio 3060ti ram: g,skill trident z 3200mhz psu: evga supernova g3 750w storage: nvme samsung evo 1tbm.2 , wd blue 1tb m.2 actual case: gigabyte c200 posible case: asus tuf gt 301. pd: it will be worth to upgrade my actual case for the asus one ? thanks

I was lucky enough to wait in line and get my hands on a 3060 today, but unfortunately stock was of course limited and I had to pick a model sight unseen and didn't think to check dimensions until I got home. Asking for a little help checking my math so I don't have to break the box open for a test fit. I tried eyeballing it with a ruler already, but it was just too close to tell conclusively since I wasn't exactly sure where to measure from. For obvious reasons, taking it back to the store for exchange is not going to be feasible. Case: Fractal Design Meshify C (spec max GPU size 315mm with front fan mounted) Cooler: Corsair H115i (front mounted, 26mm radiator plus 25mm fan thickness) Card: Asus TUF-RTX3060-12G-GAMING (301mm) Unfortunately, this radiator only fits in the front of this case so moving it isn't an option. Am I right in thinking that adding 301mm length of the card and the 26mm of radiator is going to put it at 327mm, or just 12mm too big for that 315mm max allowance? Shitty pic in case it helps:

Budget (including currency): 550€ Country: Portugal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Programming, Gaming and basic Editing. My problem detailed below: Hey guys, I am planning on upgrading some stuff on my build (Case, RAM and Motherboard), but I want to add AIO. My problem is that I am not sure if the AIO would fit on top of the case I want, I am afraid it would be colliding with the RAM and not fit at all. Here is what I what to get: Case - Corsair's 220T RGB (Black and White, not the airflow version); RAM - Corsair's 2X8GB 3200Mhz CL16 Vengeance Pro Rgb White Kit; AIO - Corsair's H100i RGB Elite Cappelix 240mm AIO; Motherboard - ASRock's ATX Z390 Phantom Gaming 4S. SSD - WD's Black SN750 500GB 3D NAND NVMe FAN - Corsair's 120mm 1400RPM SP140 RGB Pro Performance What I already have: CPU - Intel's Core I5-8400 2.8Ghz to 4Ghz; GPU - Asus' Pheonix 1050Ti PSU - Corsair's CX750F RGB Would it all fit, whitout making the system have bad airflow? Would I experience thermal throttling? Would ir be hard to build? Thank you for your attention.

Turns out that the front fan doesn’t fit because of the RAM. I’ll get a bigger case that fits it but meanwhile, would it be safe to use this normally with one fan?

The case is the Fractal Meshify S2 (white). I freaked out when I realized I didn't account for slot numbers when considering my case or GPU (which due to stock I haven't gotten yet). I want the MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio 10G, which says it's a 2.7 slot card. But The case I already bought and have in my room is the Fractal Meshify S2 (White). It says (IN THE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT) that the case supports a 2.5 slot card with a vertical mount bracket. I don't wan't my GPU mounted vertical, just mounted normal... will the case support the card or am I shit out of luck? This is a picture of the back side of my case... also an attached picture. Here is the case's site link for those looking for data to help resolve my question: https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/meshify/meshify-s2-tempered-glass/white/

I use DVDs to back up my files. I know it's archaic and slow but it's the cheapest way I know of and if a DVD is corrupted, I only lose 4.37GB of data instead of 1TB, for instance, so yeah. Safety first! Back to the point. I have a bunch of files I need to burn. The thing is, they vary in size. Some are a few hundred megs, some are, like, 3 gigs. I want to fit as much data on each DVD, so that there's as little wasted storage as possible (and I'd rather not use disc spanning and such). The way I normally go about it is that I manually try to figure out the best combination of files to fill the 4.37GB. That takes quite a bit of time. It's occurred to me that I'm probably not the first guy to have this problem and so there's probably software for this kind of stuff. Google searches have yielded no results, though. All I get is some curve fitting software, which I don't even know what that is (here's a suggestion for the next Tech Quickie video, Linus ) So my question is: does anyone here know of software that would scan a directory I specify for folders and files and automatically figure out and show me which files I should put together to most efficiently fill a specified amount of storage, such as the storage available on a DVD?

Hi, I have checked the height of the 210 Evo (159mm) and the maximum CPU cooler height for my case (160mm) and I am wondering if this will fit. How much lee-way should I leave between the height of the cooler and max height for the case? Will this be ok, or will the side panel not go on or something like that?

Okay so on my MOBO, I've noticed the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and the PCIe 2.0 x1 slot are very close, and I was wondering if there is any way to know if my GPU and Wireless Adapter will fit together

This is the picture of my brand new asus dual gtx 1060 3g not fitting properly in my case. There is a gap where there is not supposed to be a gap, where I am supposed to be able to put a small screw. Is there any solution to this?

Could anyone recommend me a chair that'd suit wide shoulders? Preference: Leather or pu leather. Mesh would be ideal, but it's hard to find a quality mesh chair without going bankrupt. lumbar support adjustable armrests I kind of fall between chairs, pun intended, when it comes to sizing because I have an athletic build and wide shoulders which means most racing style chairs are too narrow at the top and too wide at the bottom. What makes it harder is that there aren't alot of opportunity to try before I buy where I live. I tried out two chairs from AK Racing today (team dignitas max and premium v2) and neither fit properly. The dignitas would squeeze my shoulderblades and the premium a little less so, but still too much to let me sit comfortably. I believe the dignitas max is a rebranded nitro, too bad it didn't fit as it was 30% off. Brands that are available to me: AKRacing Corsair Noblechairs Arozzi Playseat Tesoro DXseat Alphagamer Thermaltake Budget is going to be in the Premium V2 range, unless something perfect shows up.

As the title suggests, can i fit a wraith prism on a msi b450m bazooka mobo without covering ram slots. I intend to put G.skill RipjawsV Black 2x4GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel, and later add another 2 kit ram, most likely the same model.

Hello o7, So I bought a new pc (3950x, 64gb ram) , but kept my old case ( a Cooler Master CM690 III ) and i'm willing to buy a new air cooler and a new case, Dark Rock Pro 4 / MasterBox TD500 Mesh. In the Case specifications, it's saying that the cpu clearance is 165 mm, and for the DRP 4, the height is 162.8, so everything is fine, my question is : does the case clearance for a cpu air cooler begins from the motherboard ? Just to make sure it all fits, like said in this website below. Thanks for your response :)

I need to know, can I mount my PSU in this case in a way I want. I want the LED screen to be right-side up, and the screen is PSU mount-dependent (can't flip the image)... I know that if I mount the PSU in the case with the fan / grill part of the PSU pointing towards the inside of my case rather then towards the outside, I can get the correct orientation of the LED screen. However, if I mount it this way, is it likely that the interior of the PSU shroud of the case, though cut out with it's own grill-style, will the two grills conflict and OR is it likely that I will not get enough air to the PSU this way, or because there is a PSU case shroud cut out period, that this is an unfounded concern? I have attached pics of everything I'm referring to. The case is the Fractal Meshify S2 and the PSU is the ASUS ROG THOR 850 I know that if I mount it this way the Case PSU shroud will block the screen anyways, but I plan to take a Dremel to it and cut a viewing hole for it anyways.

Hello everyone. I recently bought a new cpu being the 8700. And i've been using the stock cooler (Which is SUPER loud). So i was looking for an upgrade. I decided i wanted either the dark rock 4 or the dark rock pro 4 from be quiet. But i'm not sure if the pro will fit. My motherboard: MSI H370 gaming PRO Carbon I also have 1 ram stick: Balistix Elite 3200mhz 1x 8gb Case: NZXT Razer H440 So will the Be Quiet Dark rock 4 Pro fit and will the non pro even fit?

wanted to do a system build on pcpartpicker to check the compatibility of the components i want to get, but got confused regarding the PSU and my case. It says that RM850i is incompatible with Fractal Design Meshify C Mini, although it is compatible with RM650i. what confuses me is that both power supplies have the same dimensions. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
