Hey guys, I would like your help with this issue. I build a new PC with the following characteristics: - Corsair MP600 Pro Gen4 PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB - Corsair 4000D Airflow Case - Corsair QL Series, Ql120 RGB Fans - Intel Core i7-12700K - ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4 LGA1700 board - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200 - Corsair Serie RMX (2021), RM750x PSU - Noctua NH-U12A Chromax.Black CPU Cooler - No Graphics Card for now just integrated graphics I bought everything from amazon and build the new PC with no issues. As soon as I finish the build, proceed to install Windows 11 with updates, drivers, etc... and has been working fabulously (For a week). Yesterday i was watching some youtube videos, didn't recieve any update notification or anything and suddenly starts to lag and after a couple of minutes appears a blue screen error that said "Recollecting data to know what went wrong 0%" or something like that (Couldn't take a screenshot) and after that my PC just restarts and send me directly to BIOS with a big surprise, my M.2 SSD doesnt appear. If you guys could give me some information to fix this would be great, I already request to change the M.2 SSD with amazon so i can try with a new one, but I'm afraid that the same thing could happen again. Not sure if was a software issue that can be fixed or just that the SSD was defective (or maybe another piece of hardware) Thanks in advance.

I got a blue screen the other day while I was watching YouTube and booting up modded Minecraft. My PC suddenly went non-responsive and then blue-screened with stopcode registry error. I tried turning it off and back on then it started cycling on and off. It eventually tried to diagnose and repair itself but was unable to do which brought me to troubleshooting. I tried start-up repair and had the same result. I tried using the command prompt and trying the likes of "chkdsk /f /r" but all the files seem to be NTFS and write-protected. I then tried resetting but it was unable to do that also so now I turn to the forum because I'm clueless at this point. I have not been able to access my dump files, I have installed Ubuntu and managed to find Windows/Minidump which seems to be empty so if anyone can tell me where to find the dumps using ubuntu that would be awesome. My PC; OS - Windows 10 x64 (Ubuntu on USB to recover dumbs/files) Windows was bought and installed not pre-installed. Built - December 2021 (all hardware bought new bar second hand GPU) CPU - Ryzen 7 3700X GPU - Nvidia GTX745 (Pulled from my previous Alienware desktop from 2012ish) Motherboard - Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (wifi) Power Supply - Asus ROG Strix 550W Gold. Specs: XPS 17 9700, Intel i7-10875h @2.30GHz , Window 11, OS Build 22621.2506 Hi folks, Im having a issue with my computer. It blue screens with the stope code: VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR sometimes at random intervals but most frequently it happens if the computer falls into rest for any period of time or 9 out of 10 times from start up after being properly shut down previously. I have gone through a number of trouble shooting possibilities such as disabling windows modern standby (see LTT video is where I got my Instructions of how.) but that prevented some parts of updates installing. I also did multiple fresh instales of windows to see if I could clear the issue but It still had no effect. Would any of you lovely folk have an idea of what is going on or has anyone else come across the same issue?

Okay so my girlfriend was downloading a game from Steam and her laptop froze, after 2 minutes of 0 changes, she hard restarted it and it went to error 0xc000000e. The Win10 is installed on SSD, she has 2nd install of windows10 on hard drive from before upgrading, so she booted there, was unable to log in to microsoft account a was unable to find files located on desktop. So we made a windows instalation media on USB flash drive, tried to refresh the installation so she wouldn't lose the data, but the option did not go through and wrote "The drive Where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again." We then tried Repair startup and System image recovery, but got about the same result. Then we moved onto next guides to "Command Prompt" where we tried "bootrec /RebuildBcd, where after selecting our desired C: instalation of windows of the 2 found installs we got prompt "The requested system device cannot be identified, because there are multiple devices that apply to the criteria" approximately translated. We then tried "chkdsk C: /f /x /r", that gone thru fine, but did nothing useful. Then we tried "bootrec /FixMbr" operation succesful, "bootrec /FixBoot" Where we got that access is denied and "bootrec /ScanOs where it found both Win10 installs. We also tried sfc /scannow but that didn't really do anything. I found some guide on internet that solves this or similiar issue with error 0xc000000e and drive that cannot be identified by selecting and deleting one of the found System partitions, creating new EFI partition, fat32 formatting the second System partition, assigning drive letters and creating boot files. Is that something that could work? We really kinda need to not lose the data on the disk so we try to avoid doing clean installs or wiping the data elsehow. Thanks for advices in advance.

So the title sums it up pretty well, i've been playing mainly cyberpunk and doom eternal lately, and my laptop will sometimes just completely freeze up and crash to a bluescreen mid-game. Usually after this, it can't find a boot device, but if I then restart it one more time the laptop boots up fine and the issue won't happen again for a month or two. It only happened in cyberpunk first so I thought it was an issue with the game, but it just happened in doom eternal as well. hasn't happened in any of the other games i've been playing, though (borderlands 3, horizon, battlefront 2, squadrons). Not sure where the problem lies, my obvious guess would be the SSD, but speed-wise I haven't noticed anything. Games load up just fine and multiplayer maps usually load within seconds. Could it be an overheating issue? The laptop does get quite hot during intense sessions but it also gets hot when i'm working in unreal engine for projects and it hasn't crashed during an unreal session yet. Specs: RTX 2080 intel core i7-9750H CPU 16GB RAM 2X SAMSUNG MZVLB512HBJQ-000H1 512,1 GB (probably working as one through RAID)

Hi there! I've been dealing with this issue for almost a week now, so urgent help is much appreciated! I'll give a bit of backstory: Early last week I started encountering some new issues with my PC, such as the sound to my headphones cutting out of nowhere, and my PC remaining 'on' after I had shut it down and my monitors had gone of automatically (all lights were off but my fans stayed on). A couple days later I moved in a new place and the same power issue persisted, so I disassembled and rebuilt with no issues. Now upon powering up, the PC would freeze ~20 seconds during a diagnostic loading screen every time. I felt I had enough reason to get it checked out, and I did; the technician came back saying that he believed the mobo was the issue, but another concern came up about how 6 of the 8 CPU power connectors were plugged in (major red flag, but the build has been running fine the last two years). I wasn't sure if the CPU was fried or not so I opted for a new mobo. Unfortunately my options were to upgrade from my 9th gen Intel CPU and get a more available LGA1200 board, or save a little and find a new 1151. I managed to find an ROG Strix Z390-I (yeah, it's a mini-itx build, I know) for reasonable price and it arrived today. After the rebuild, the PC booted perfectly and I got my old desktop back, then it crashed 10 seconds later. I haven't been able to boot it up since. I've tried: Reinstalling Windows 10 on my M.2 boot drive - ends with a blue screen o' death Reinstalling Windows with a boot usb on the M.2 - blue screen Reinstalling Windows on my backup SSD - crashes Partitioning space on my backup then installing Windows with the usb - blue screen All of the standard windows boot options - crashes or fails I can't wipe these drives since they've got valuables on them, but even the empty partition didn't work, so I'm not convinced it's a drive issue. I hope this new mobo wasn't a waste of money, but it did allow me to get much further than before so that's something, but if it comes down to needing a new CPU, I have to be 100% sure this time. Hopefully this is enough information to go off of, any help would be great, and just a reminder I'm not very experienced with all this, but I'll do my best to communicate my progress. Thanks, and I'll leave my build below. *Build* Intel Core i5-9400F ASRock B360M-ITX/ac (OLD) ROG Strix Z390-I (NEW) GTX 1660 Intel SSD 660p 1TB M.2 WD Blue 1TB SATA SSD Rosewill 550W Gold

Hello, I've been having blue screen issues for a while now and just recently (about a year ago) I got a new motherboard + cpu and power supply. I still get the blue screen issues which leads me to believe it either my RAM or my Drives. However, I ran memcheck and it came back fine. I found the error codes in event view, but I have no idea what they refer to. "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff804838e1660, 0xfffffd83a8a8b6a8, 0xffff8e80eb4f2920)."

So, i recently upgraded my GPU from a ASUS GTX 1650 to a Gigabyte RTX Eagle OC 3060 (Dual Fan Config) After 2 days of usage i recieved the attached Blue Screen Of Death (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT) My components are as follows: 1) PSU: Corsair VS500 2) CPU: i3-9100 3) GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 Eagle OC (12GB) 4) RAM 1: 8 GB DDR4 3200Mhz (XPG D60) 5) RAM 2: 8 GB DDR4 2666Mhz (Simmtronics) 6) HDD: 1TB Western Digital 7) M.2 SSD (boot drive): 250GB Adata I am unable to find the reason for the BSoD. I've tried the following Solutions: 1) Fresh Install Windows (10 Pro) 2) Formatted Both HDD (Game Drive) and SSD (Windows Drive For Fresh Install) 3) Uninstalled All RGB Softwares. 4) Only installed and used Licensed Softwares...no cracks no piracy. The BSoD has happened several times 1) When I was Running Multiple RGB Softwares (Headphones, Keyboard, GPU etc.) I uninstalled the said softwares because I was afraid they were causing it but it happened again when: 2) I was running a Game (Genshin Impact) with Spotify. 3) When I left the PC to install GTA V 4) Recently when I booted the PC, it came to Lockscreen, i pressed power button so i can turn it off as i had to check power connection to PSU (which was fine) but the PC didn't respond...a few seconds later the Same BSoD showed up....this time the PC was just started, it wasn't hot, neither it was drawing any power PLEASE help i have NO idea what's causing this and i can afford just 1 component to get fixed at the time...is it the GPU, PSU or RAM???

Hey everyone! First post here. (Edit turns out that's not the case turns out I just posted awhile ago lol) So this is the third forum post I've made overall about this though, once on reddit and once on Tom's hardware but didn't get very much help, So I figured I'd try you guys! Luckily I've sorted some things out to hopefully narrow it down. Basically, when I first got my PC the ram was set to a really low frequency, think it was 2166MHz instead of 3200MHz (It's the AMD optimized RAM for 3600MHz but 3200 is my CPUs max). I had just built this computer and it hadn't really seen if it was stable, and couldn't get it to post at 3200MHz, been out of the PC building game for awhile so had to learn what XMP was. Long story short I could boot at 3000Mhz but had artifacts semi frequently and 2 blue screens once it was turned up to 3100Mhz. After lowering it down I updated my Chipset, ME, and BIOS, and used XMP 1 and turned it back up to 3100Mhz. And it's been 10 days with plenty of games and no blue screen. Didn't even have block artifacting until today while scrolling on twitter. I couldn't catch if it was limited to the browser window or not, but I can say I haven't had any block artifacting whatsoever in games yet. I think it's all been browsing the internet. I've also had my pc completely freeze after closing out games where the audio would cut out and the mouse would be unresponsive. Although I think this has gone away with driver updates. So now it's got me wondering if this is a GPU thing. I've updated my Nvidia drivers too, but I always hear block artifacting in relation to GPUs. I downloaded OCCT but couldn't exactly figure out what I was doing or what to look for in the way of testing. I guess I could have gotten a bad GPU, some friends made the exact same that I put together and I haven't heard any of them having this issue. I bought this thing at Best Buy so I'm pretty sure I have a long warranty on it (Hopefully) or I could get an RMA. I just wanna make sure I can narrow it down as much as I can before actually returning something. I think its normal for my card to be in the 90s and 100%'s while I play semi intensive games too and CPU-Z reports a higher clock speed under load than the boost drop down, so I don't think I'm undervolting it? I guess my question is, how can I narrow down what the issue is? If it's obvious please lay down some knowledge on me. I can link my build and my other forum posts as well as my build. I know this was a whole long story but thank you for the help and anyone who reads it! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yrNgnt https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/where-can-i-find-figure-out-ram-timings-for-amd-optimized-ram-with-an-intel-cpu.3765876/ https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/xmp-and-ram-settings-causing-instability-and-blue-screen.3769079/ (some of this info might not be the most helpful but I figured I'd link it incase I missed anything and for the sake of having the full story)

I have a PC with an ASRock z270M Pro 4 motherboard and Windows 10 installed on a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. I've been trying to add a second drive for more storage, mostly for games. I've made sure everything was connected correctly. Turned on the PC and then got a BSOD with an unhappy face with a percentage count to see if it can resolve the issue. It say's that it will attempt to do a startup repair but it fails. BSOD happens again with the unhappy face and percentage count happens again to see if it can resolve the issue. It then gives me the option to do a system restore but when I select that, it fails. This repeats over and over again. No error message in sight. Startup Repair and System Restore have not done anything to help. Tried doing a recovery using my usb that has Window 10 OS while both drives are plugged in but to no avail. Tried a different storage device i.e a 4tb SSD but still BSOD with the Startup Repair loop. Tried different SATA connector cable and power cable but it did not work. Tried plugging the second drive into a different SATA port but that did not resolve the problem. When the second drive is unplugged and the main drive is the only one set, it boots normally. Heard it might've been because the UEFI was set to Raid mode instead of AHCI, so I went into the BIOS to check. It was set to AHCI from the get-go Though maybe it was set-up to boot from the second hard drive for some reason. When i checked the BIOS, the main hard drive was the only boot option available. I then looked into the Boot/Hard Drive BBS Priorities and see that the Main 2tb is set to option 1 while the new 4tb HDD/SSD is set to option 2. Decided maybe setting Boot Option 2 to disabled and leaving only Boot Option 1 as the only one available would help but it did not. I cannot proceed to the desktop when the second drive (4tb) is plugged in. Have not checked to see if an external docking station will yeild any results. Unsure about the next step, but have been suggested the following: - Try another PSU because maybe it's not getting enough juice = My current PSU is providing 650W. However, according to PC Parts Picker website, my setup with the additional second drive requires 570W and that the current 650W PSU I have should be running everything without an issue. - Try upgrading RAM: Currently have 16 Gb (2X8Gb) - Install Windows on second Drive and set it up as a raid.

I have a lot to type, please bare with me. I need help. I recently built my cousin his first computer. I have built computers before and have some some basic IT work. So i know what I am doing. However, my cousins computer has been incredibly frustrating. These are the parts I used. I have multiple questions including one for the graphics card. Please bare with me as I will explain all the issues I am having with it. https://secure.newegg.com/wishlist/pd/27234506 At first I thought my issues were the motherboard. No one else seems to have problems with AsRock but every single computer I have ever built with an AsRock motherboard ended up being a huge headache. I only got this motherboard at the time for the price as my cousin didn't want to spend a lot of money. As far as drivers go, AsRock website and CD for motherboard has this weird All-In-One driver I have never seen before. I am used to downloading each driver individually. So I thought maybe that was causing issues as I was missing some drivers. All that seemed to do was download AMD Adrenalin I believe. It took me SEVERAL tries to get windows 10 to update to the most recent version. It would download to 100% and fail. Then I tried the update tool but that would get stuck at 99%. Or it would work, reset, start to install the updates, then it would say something failed and undo all the updates. The computer was slower than it should be, hung up a lot, and would occasionally freeze or restart without warning or any BSOD. The internet was also being weird. It would somethings act as if there was no internet or would be extremely slow. I thought about updating BIOS but the website says to specifically not to with certain processors. Anyway, I ended up doing a FULL reset. I had to wait a few hours for windows to wipe everything. I used the CD to install the drivers, and was Finally able to download and install all most recent windows 10. Everything seemed to finally be working as it should except for a few issues I started to notice. He was starting to now get BSOD, one for Pool Header, then other was for ntoskrnl.exe. Also Changing fan speeds in BIOS (specifically for CPU fan) doesn't seem to do anything. I noticed the Ryzen 2600 in idle was around 40c. So I tried to set the fan speed to full in BIOS but I don't notice a difference. It doesn't seem to be spinning any faster than it was before. My other issue is the Graphics Card. This is my first time messing with an AMD card as I always use NVIDIA in my personal builds. I installed an RX 570 8gb MSI in my cousins build. I know most modern GPUs have a setting that keeps the fan off until the card gets hot. However, I cannot for the life of me get the card's fans to manually turn on either. I have tried both AMD Adrenalin and MSI Afterburner and still the cards will not turn on. Even during my stress tests the card will reach 80c and still the fans will not turn on. Other than the fans, the card seems fine... Or so I thought. My cousin and I were just playing Insurgency (original) and after about 5 - 8 minutes his computer just shuts off. The only thing I can think of is something in the computer, possibly the GPU got too hot so it shut itself off. I read some reviews that people also had issues with the power supply I got. Many of them said they got it dead on arrival. People also mentioned having issues with the MOBO I am using too. As far as I can tell, the PSU seems fine.. My gut tells me the main issue is somehow the motherboard, next would be GPU. I have tried everything and I have no idea what else to do. It is extremely frustrating. I have never had a computer be so difficult. I feel bad because this is my cousins first computer and he's starting to feel like it is more trouble than it's worth.

My laptop is keep posting BSOD for a couple days. I read same scenarios from different forum about this kind of crash and most of the solution is the command sfc /scannow from cmd to replace or fix corrupted files from the system. So my laptop has been running on Windows 7, the issue occured during class in college and I really need to get my laptop back and running again. It cannot boot up my windows and I have tried to use my just in case USB-stick with backup Windows installed in it on my laptop, but that did not work. It says something like I am not able to boot into my SSD. I can give out more information about the subject later, as I am in a rush right now. And just to clarify the SSD is the only drive in my laptop currently, it has been recently bought and installed so there should not be a problem with it, it did run perfectly well before the incident. I might try hooking up the ssd to my desktop computer and seeing if I can play around with it from there. But as for now I have no time to do so. Thanks, Jiri.
