Cyberpower Gigabyte B550 UD AC bios update
T4HM WAR posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
There is a bios update but its hidden on Cyberpowers website. go to this link : https://support.cyberpowerpc.com/hc/en-us Click on drivers and software. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Click Cyber power Motherboards. Click bios Click Gigabyte Click the highlighted file and preform bios update. Check back regularly. Spread the word. It's not impossible to update and this bios update should encompass everything that gigabyte has released on all other b550 modules. 608770823_MB-478-120B550UDACY1.zip- 3 replies

PC Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Taichi X OC+ Video Card PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA GA 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply I built a PC about 4 months ago and about a week ago It started to give me a vga light on boot. I would reseat my gpu and the power cables that were connected, the computer worked fine the rest of the day. I left my pc on that night to see if I could avoid a boot error but when I started to run a game it would crash and the vga light would come on again. After trying to troubleshoot the software side of the PC (drivers, updates, ect.) I could get it to boot, but every time I tried to play a game or run a benchmark it would crash (both my monitors would go black and my pc would keep running as if it restarted but there would be no signal and occasionally a VGA light), except for Cinebench which I understand as being a more CPU intensive test. All the GPU tests were crashing so I thought It might have been my GPU. I had a friend tell me to uninstall the GPU drivers and reinstall them which seemed to make my pc work longer before a crash. Some of these crashes were just black screen with my pc running and some were the blue screens, but the errors were not the same, they were different every time. I happened to open my case and install this aftermarket cpu cooler that i had bought previously and after hooking everything back up my game was running fine, this was yesterday and I played for about 4 hours. This morning I got the vga light and my Pc would not boot again so I was going to see if it really was my GPU and switched PCIE slots on the motherboard. This allowed it to boot and so far has ran through the 3D Mark benchmark perfectly fine. I would assume my Motherboard main PCIE slot is going bad, but all of my components were brand new and still under warranty. The slot itself looks perfectly fine as well (I used a gpu stand to hold it up and prevent sagging). If this is not a pcie slot problem, does anybody know what could be the cause of the crashes? Lucky my pc is working fine now but tomorrow it might be another vga light.

I have a D-Link DIR-859 and even though I'm getting my 500Mbps service from the ethernet ports on my router I can't get more than 30Mbps through wifi. The throughput of the router is 1300Mbps for 5Ghz, my M1 MacBook Air has 1200Mbps, iPhone XR 1300, granted that these numbers are for in an ideal environment but shouldn't I still be seeing higher numbers? The router and devices are in line of sight and about 10ft from each other, and nothing in between them. I feel like I'm spinning my tires with this, even went as far as to reset the router. Any thoughts and ideas would be awesome!

Any time I boot up Valhalla, it either crashes or blue screens my computer, even when I turn graphic settings all the way down to low. I also updated my graphic drivers and made sure to verify the integrity of game files. Any suggestions? I'm trying to make a decision. Which Router would be best for me. The Asus RT-AC86U or the Asus RT-AX86U? Stream 4K wirelessly and game wired on the PS4 Pro. Mobile is a IPhone 11 and I'm the only client. Is the extra € 100 necessary or is it future proof? Sorry for my bad English

Hello, my internet provider is offering 5G wireless connection (5Ghz) and AC wireless connection (IEEE.811.ac). Which is better? Thanks for future advices and sorry for my bad english

hi, I have dell precision m6800; with dual band wireless-AC 7260. I have been using it for nearly 2+ years but since day 1 my internet gets disconnected on it's own. I have to stop the wifi from task manager and start the wifi again and connected to my available wifi; some times i have to disconnect/connect several times. At first i thought i am sitting further from the wifi or my wifi router is over whelmed or this could be windows 10 playing tricks with me or maybe driver isn't compatible with window 10. But now i am starting to doubt the my wifi device/card is not in 100% working condition. First kindly guide what could be the possible reason for this constant disconnectivity? Secondly if this is my WIFI device/card i am thinking of buying a new device. Kindly guide should I go for the wifi card which will be plugged in motherboard? or for some latest wifi adapter of tp link or d-link AC-1300 or so or could go for wifi 6 adapter? would my system even be able to fully use the latest wifi 6 speed? (yes i will by wifi 6 router later =D ). If i have to go for the built in one... which one is the best among the provided list of by dell ? attached a screen shot of the wifi from dell precision manual m6800 or could i go for some other not mentioned, latest in-built card? if yes kindly do guide on this as well. Thanks in advance guys and really appreciate your help.

My parents have a standard Xfinity XB3 Dual-Band WiFi 802.11ac router with 2.4 and 5.0 bands. My room is a floor and 2 walls in the way of their router and my internet tests run my download speed at just under 200mbps. I need a WIFI motherboard as I have no ethernet wall ports in my room. Just 30 year old wanna be fucking phone jacks, LMAO. I'm a first time builder switching over from APPLE. I have chosen the i9-9900K (DON'T ARGUE AMD, I KNOW WHAT I WANT), and do the Wifi Motherboard must be Z390 and LGA 1151. I plan to overclock the CPU as much as I can get away with using air-cooling (DON'T ARGUE WATER COOLING, I KNOW WHAT I WANT), but only to the point where I am not sacrificing the lifespan of the CPU too drastically. I need your help to find the best Intel Z390 LGA1151 WiFi AC Motherboard that has OverClocking headroom that can support many case fans, and most importantly, that will have a reliable WiFi Connection considering that it'll need to reach a router 2 walls and a floor towards the router. Price is not as big a concern, though going above $250 you'll really need to sell me. Must be ATX form factor. Must use 802.11 AC wifi. I was originally thinking of the: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard but I've seen a few concerning customer reviews that claim of spotty wifi connection. But I've also considered the: Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC I'd like to hear other considerations that check all my boxes listed above. Hi, I'm facing a strange issue with my pc. I bought this last year in June. It was running fine till now. But from last month I've observed that pc won't start on pressing power button. So I found a solution for this that turning off power supply switches ups to battery power and pc starts. When the boot completes I can turn on ac power. But from last 2-3 days it is getting crashed randomly. And from today morning I'm not able to boot it completely. Whenever I'm trying to start using battery power it starts and turns off within a minute or two. And once it is crashed I've to again turn on ac power and then turn of ac power and press power button. Sometimes it shows ezdebug Cpu led and sometimes ezdebug dram led. And sometimes it boots and I can enter bios but if I make any changes in bios and try to save and restart it again crashes. I've tried clearing cmos by removing battery cell for 5 minutes. Also tried jbat. Also tried POST Test, by removing all parts and adding one by one but no luck. In bios cpu temperature is around 42•c, motherboard temperature is around 38•c Is there any issue with cpu? I removed it from cpu socket and saw thermal paste is having more fluidity than normal. I accidentally bent some cpu socket pins but I've fixed them. So that is not an issue. I've tried different wall sockets with and without ups. But got no success. my pc specifications are as follows. Intel i5 9600k MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC WiFi 2x GSkill trident 8 gb 3000 mhz cl16 2x GSkill Aegis 16 gb 3000 mhz cl16 Samsung Evo 256 gb m.2 Lexar 500gb m.2 1 TB HDD MSI RTX 2070 Cooler Master ML240R cooler Cooler Master 650 Watt Gold PSU Thank You!

In today's episode Linus showed us the beginnings of his new AC unit that he is installing. Not long ago my father and me also did a DIY air conditioning split unit system to cool the second floor of our home. The parts all came from LG and we couldn't be happier on how it turned out. While we did finish the installation we built it in a way for potential future expansion should we decide to run lines down to the first floor. https://imgur.com/a/f9kwrus

Hi guys I've got some weird problems with wireless network. Important-to-know hardware is as follows: ASUS AC-87U router, PCE-AC66 network card, old apple devices, a samsung s8 and a meizu mx4. So, how it goes. The router is about half a year old, just as s8, all other devices match their production date (mac '12, ipad2, several iphones; meizu mx4 is end of 2014 as you most likely have no idea what that is) Router (all the firmware is up-to-date, tried keeping it off for up to a day) gives off 2.4 GHz and 5GHz signals. All apple devices, although lacking the detection range and effective speed, can see and use both networks granted they're close enough. Meizu MX4 (serves as a transitional testing device in this case) instantly connects to a 5GHz signal, getting strong RX/TX rates (don't really know which is which), this can also be seen by its network speeds. Now we're getting to the problem. PC never saw the 5GHz signal since i got the new router. I figured it's the distance (even though MX4 gets strong reception in the same spot, and PCE-AC66 has 3 freaking full-sized antennas), but a week ago i was finally able to connect, also getting a strong signal. 2 days ago, however, i got up, woke up the machine, and saw that the 5GHz signal has disappeared, leaving me with the boring 2.4GHz. Nothing relevant to the situation has been changed in any way (MX4 still sees it perfectly). Now, the s8 became my main device just a few days ago as it has been used in a different place and i never really needed to check if it was ok with ac signals. And as it turns out, it can't see the 5GHz either, even when its really close to the router! Note that I didn't get the chance to test it in different places with ac yet though. This is where you - the community - comes in. I'm fine with the s8 being on a 2.4GHz (although it would be nice to have it on a faster network), but I really really want to use the 5GHz on my PC. Please help. P.S. I try to keep all the devices off of the 5GHz network to have the least interference when trying to get a signal on a PC. Sorry if there are any mistakes, my language doesn't even use latin alphabet. Edit: If anyone has the similar problem - it turns out, i shoud've played with the selected channel from the start as it seems not all devices can see all chanels. Sorry for being dumb. Admin, you can delete this post.

So I have a wifi adapter and have spent a solid day trying to get it work tried roughly 6 drivers always gave an error or even caused a kernel panic. Budget 20ish dollars wifi adapter prefer if it had 5ghz and ac but to keep it simple IT HAS TO HAVE OUT OF BOX SUPPORT WITH LINUX (xubuntu 16.10). Any leads would be greatly appreciated. If you're educated in Linux this is the thread to try and get my current wifi adapter working. (BTW I have one wifi adapter its just slow my internet speed is 10 MB and im only getting 1.5MB MB not bits)

So I am looking for a wireless router and I come across this one for cheap and it looks like it has all the right feature but I don't know much about networking https://m.newegg.com/products/33-555-073 I am going to be using this to mostly connect using a phone or a laptop and will not be doing massive file transfers over a home network so I don't need stuff like gigabit networking or a us b port for a hard drive Is this router fine or do you recomend a different router. trying to keep price under 50 bucks Thanks in advance

Hi Guys, New to the forum. Need an AC router with wired gigabit connections and reliable operations. Have a budget of max 6000 INR (Yes, I am from India ) or about 100 USD. Thinking about Netgear R6220, Asus AC58U, TP Link Archer c7, Asus RT-ACRH13, TENDA w1800 R and Tenda AC 15 ac 1900 (A little above my budget though). Would love the advice of someone who is knowledgeable about these. New Suggestions will be appreciated as well. Info about my setup: I use iPhone 7 and AW 17 R4 with Killer 1435 card. My flatmate has MacBook Pro 2016, Mi 5 and iPhone 6S. We also have an XBOX. ISP gives about 100 Mbps speeds. Current router is DLINK DIR 605 and it gives the maximum speed of about 65 mbps generally even through wired connection. Thanks in Advance Cheers

What do you think of the new AC Origins? Me personally i don't like the last 2 games, i don't know about Origins though. I might give it a shot. But here are the things that could potentially break the game, at least for a long time lover like me: 1. Enemies level Its an Assassins's game, enemies that have level makes no sense. Like someone will be able to take a knife to throat but doesn't die or assassinated from above but did not die instantly. 2. Weapon level Someone proudly said that we weren't be able to assassin someone with a low level hidden blade in 1 hit, which again makes no sense 3. Skill Tree From what I'm getting, we will have to focus on one skill to improve. So for example if your stealth skill isn't good enough you weren't be able to perform a perfect stealth (?) Which makes absolute no sense at all. And again, we won't be able to kill enemies stealthily if the hidden blade isn't good enough in the first place. I know this is nitpicking, but AC used to be a realistic stealth/adventure open world game. Now it's nowhere even near "Realistic" with those stupid levelling system, it seems like they're changing the game mechanic just for the sake of change instead of originality. The thing that makes people love AC is almost gone now.... Its just some of my thoughts..... what do you guys think? Let me know down below

After running this macbook on powerchord only because of an broken battery i finaly decided to buy a new battery but now when it arrived it doesn't work correctly. The battery simply refuses to charge and says "Replace now, Not charging 8%". Things i've tried: SMC Reset PRAM Reset Booting into Linux Mint and it said "Charging - Fully charged 8%" (It wasn't charging) Unplugging AC while OS was on and it just simply died with no difference next boot. Macbok pro 2011 (I think) Battery: battery A1322 (I know it's compatible) (Same as the original broken one)

I'm trying to troubleshoot a laptop with a weird symptom I haven't seen before. When the laptop is off (cold boot), this happens: - When plugged in: after pressing the start button, the power led goes on, then off, and then the laptop boots normally. - When on battery only: after pressing the start button, the power led goes on, then off, and that's it. It doesn't start. - When the laptop starts plugged to the charger, I can un-plug it and use it normally on battery. No apparent issues with battery duration or anything else. What is the failed first attempt to cold boot? Why doesn't it boot on battery, despite apparently working fine on battery afterwards? I'm kind of puzzle right now Thanks in advance to anyone who comes up with a clue!

My old Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 C7000v100NAS modem/router combo is dying and I will be replacing that with a Motorola MB8600 DOCSIS 3.1 Modem, and now I need a router to pair it with. I see that AX (Wifi 6) Routers are starting to appear in larger numbers and generally decent prices. I am looking at getting a Netgear RAX80 AX6000 or a RAX40 (AX3000) router. I like the amount of ethernet ports, because I am looking at connecting my gaming PC, laptop, and Smart TV via wired, and I would like to have the extra ports for my work laptop and other devices. The biggest question for me right now, is should I wait to buy wifi 6 or upgrade now in a future-proofing vein?

My specs Intel i7 8700K Corsair H45 cooler Corsair TX750M Corsair 8GB 2400MHz LPX MSI Z370 A Pro Galax 1070Ti EX Samsung CFG73 QLED Curved Seagate 1 TB 72000 RPM NZXT Phantom 530(White) So I just played a couple of games in my new setup but I'm getting a 45°C when GPU is ideal and 55°C when playing sniper elite game. CPU usage = 19% and GPU usage = 65%(since sniper is an old game) So I had a weird idea so here are my questions 1. Will an Air Conditioner(As shown) cool my PC more? 2. If ever there was a sudden power shut off during playing high graphics games, would it damage the PC and the Graphics card? 3. Task manager shows high power isage during games. Should I be concerned about it? Can the TX750M handle the heavy power draw from the Graphics card? 4. I simply heard that turning off and on the pc fot many times in a day would shortern the love span so can I put the pc for sleep instead of shutting down every night from like example 12AM to 12PM? 5. I also leave my monitor on like forever! I never turn the monitor switch off. Is that good or bad. Because I use my PC daily (The back system fan is facing directly towards the wall. That means all the exhaust air will directly hit the surface of the wall. Would it be a problem?)

SO I have a Dual-Band Xfinity standard router, it runs 3.5 and 5 channels and specifies "Dual-Band 802.11AC" and I'm stuck between 2 particular mother boards based on wether they are compatible with that wifi and wether they truly run at their specified avg connection rates. I'm looking at the MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard which I know to be 802.11AC compatible as it is specified as having MU-MIMO technology delivering AC speeds up to 433Mbps without any cable limitation. However, I'm also looking at the Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard which CLAIMS that with it's Intel® 802.11ac Wave2 CNVi WIFI + Bluetooth 5 it delivers "speeds up to 1.73Gbps and that it's avg rates for 2x2 802.11 AC are 867Mbps." So I'm left wondering, does the Aurous actually run at 867Mbps assuming I can only run it at wave 1 wifi, as in, not 2x2...? Or do I essentially divide the 867 by 2 as I'm only using 1 wave of wifi from my router? Depending what the case is, I may or may not get the AUROS based ONLY on the wifi speed, pls do not sell me on which has better "features".... if they both run at the same avg wifi speed for 802.11AC then I will get the MSI motherboard. AND NO, I cannot get an ethernet or lan connection in my room.
