Hi, I have Sapphire Rx580 8gb nitro+ special edition, default core 1430mhz, memory 2100mhz. Im trying to overclocking it but im almost limted to to 1460mhz-1470mhz as some games crashes @1470 and others work fine, setting power limit on wattman to 50% and voltage to the max of 1200mv. Is this the max overclocking capability? I want the extra frams as im running 2560x1080 screen and the card is struggling. Temps are fine and i get 16500 on gpu score using firestrike benchmark. I read that others reached 1500mhz on core. My gpu came with micron memory. Other pc specs I7 4790 @3.8ghz on all cores 16GB DDR3 1600mhz Thermaltake smart se 730w

Hello, A month ago, i had this weird issue where a random artifact appeared while using Chrome. It was there until i scrolled down the page and disappeared. Didn't happen again until right now, so i took screenshot to show it clearly. I noticed that i was using beta drivers for AMD when that happened in both of the times. I'm not sure though. Nothing like that ever happened in any game btw. (The black box isn't an artifact lol.) GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB

I've got this used GPU which has some white stains on its back. What are those? I've searched the web and from what I understand they could be flux residues but I'm not sure. Any other idea? Looks like this GPU was removed from a working PC and it was still functioning when it was removed. Then it sat in its own box for maybe a couple of years and now it was given to me. I've not tested it yet and I'm not sure if it's safe to power it on before removing that white stuff. Anybody knows what that is? Is it harmful? Should I worry? Can I leave it there or should I clean it even if the GPU works? I don't know when those white marks appeared, if the card was sold like that or if they appeared later during daily usage. Thank you all for any help.

Hi guys, I wanted to replace my gtx 1060 with the sapphire pulse Rx570 4gb Itx (see photos) as I'm selling pc and want to keep the 1060. HOWEVER, I have a problem as I cannot find a "high profile" gpu bracket so that I could fit this securely in my case. It has a hdmi, DVI and display port as seen in photos and description of card. Can someone please point me to a normal bracket with those connectors or at least with a hdmi connector and a DVI so it fits and ideally has exhaust holes. I will be very grateful if you can help me. Kind Regards

So I was playing DiRT4, weekend, relaxing day. Suddenly black screen, machine restarted itself, heard a single particular beep after the usual one on boot. No video output since then, no fanspin, no heat generated. Tests I've carried out: 1. Reseating it plus all the ram sticks because why not. 2. Plugged older AMD graphics card, PCIE slot is working (LED logo on the RX480 works since it pulls from PCIE anyway) 3. Tried a different 8pin connector and different VGA slot on the PSU. 4. Tried running the card off of another PSU seperately. Nada, shows no signs of life. Did I miss anything?

Hi! Been upgrading my home office, and everything’s worked out except for my graphics card It will give me a BSoD randomly a few times a day with varying vague error messages. This is during normal use btw (not gaming) I am very time poor, so this is difficult for me to trouble shoot. I may just have to return and try a different card. please let me know if there’s anything I can try to fix it! thanks! some notes: PC Parts List: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard ASRock B450M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $99.99 @ Newegg Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL15 Memory $70.99 @ Corsair Storage HP EX920 256 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $43.99 @ Newegg Storage Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $42.00 @ Amazon Video Card Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB PULSE Video Card $193.98 @ Newegg Case Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case $98.99 @ B&H Power Supply EVGA SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $109.98 @ Newegg Speakers Logitech Z200 0 nW 2.0 Channel Speakers $24.99 @ Adorama Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $684.91 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-07-28 21:43 EDT-0400 BSoD Errors: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

Hello! Full problem and explanation (kinda irrelevant, but I thought someone may ask why flashing): I'm having some bizarre problens lately with my RX 580 (8GB Sapphire Pulse).Under specific games, when there's an intense GPU use but then suddenly relief (ex: intense racing, then flashback in F1 2018; after screen game results in PES2018) GPU fans go full spin and screen goes black. Also, on other applications, when fans ramp up to speed, they sometimes don't slow down. Then, PC boots without video. Only works again if i reseat the card on PCIe slot. Now, all I could find out about it: Only happens in some games, it does fine on torture tests; Temps are ok, around 70°; Reapplied termal paste on die (just the chip, not the vrms); Was happening on old rig, upgrading platform didn't help; Cables are OK; And a lot of other possible fixes. So, I'm thinking about flashing the VBIOS as it maybe corrupt. Thing is, there are 2 bios available for that card. And the question I ask you is this: TL;DR: What bios should I update? Both from techpowerup, both for the same card. Never flashed GPU BIOS before, so if you guys could help, I'd really appreciate! I apologize if I violated any rule here, I'm fairly new to forums and all that stuff... Thanks!

I'm almost done with my first PC build, but I'm not sure how to connect my Graphic Card to the PSU. I have the Radeon RX580 Sapphire Nitro+ Special Edition, which comes with 8pin + 6pin connectors. I have the Seasonic Prime Gold 650w, which comes with two PCI-E cables, each cable has two 6pin + 2pin connectors (16 pin total for each cable). Should I use both cables from the PSU one for the 8pin connector and one for the 6pin connector on then graphics Card? Or Should I use just one cable from the PSU to both the 8pin and the 6pin connectors on the graphics card?

So, I recently upgraded my case to a corsair 760t in white. And was searching for a blue or white graphics card to match the rest of the build theme and fit in well into my room, Today I came across the sapphire rx 580 nitro+ blue edition with 8GB, watched some youtube videos all rating the card bad for the price at 500 USD, but I found the price for 200€ on sale. (Since I live in Germany its in €.) And the questions I wanted to ask were 1. If the card was an actual card with 8GB or second hand or counterfit like @JayzTwoCents reviewed in a recent video. Of off official brand graphics cards (video link see Below), because I've never bought from that particular site before. And the second question I wanted to ask if that blue card model is a founders edition type card and I can just use a rx580 watercooling block to eventually watercool the GPU? rx 480 Upgraded to RX 480 4GB and I'm getting lower fps?!?
ElFiasco89 posted a topic in Graphics Cards
As title says, basically i upgraded my gpu from a R9 280X running at 1100/1500 to a nice new Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 4 GB at default clocks of 1303/1750 and i get lower fps with my new card, i've upped the power limit in msi afterburner to no improvement, im playing at exact same settings, High Quality Render and every thing else on maximum performance with no boxes ticked and im averaging around 170-190 fps where as with my R9 280X i had around 190-210 fps so im really confused by this, anyone have any tips or info on this situation? I've only tried with Rocket Leauge so far btw. Also my R9 280X used to get to about 71 Degrees c whilst playing but the RX 480 Hovers around 55 Degrees c, using similar GPU usage as the previous card, around 70% average. I upgraded my graphics card on the last update a couple of days ago but im unaware if there have been any major fps drops with that update yet. I DDU the drivers several times now, now trying 18.3.3 because that's what Fortnite prefers and still no change in Rocket League. Everything else is exactly as it was, just changed the graphics card. Also i can provide any logs of monitoring. - AMD FX 8350 @ 4.5Ghz (No turbo boost) - Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 4 GB - Gigabyte GA 990XA-UD3 - Corsair Vengance 16gb @ 1600Mhz - Corsair 550 80+ Bronze PSU - Intel SSD 520 Series 160 GB Update 1 I've just compared the GPU-Z info from the 2 card and the R9 280X has 2 higher values 'Bus Width' and 'Band Width' which are: R9 280x Bus = 384 Bit / Band = 297.6 GB/s RX 480 Bus = 256 Bit / Band = 224 GB/s Could this be a factor ? -
Currently on Newegg they are selling a Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 for $500 and a Zotac GTX 1080 for $480. Links here: GTX 1080 Vega 56 I am a big fan of Sapphire's cards and planned on getting that card until I saw this deal. I don't know much about Zotac so if you could share some experiences that would be cool. I do plan on overclocking the Vega 56 which has been known to overclock extremely well, beating a stock Vega 64 in some cases. With all this in mind, what do you think is the better deal? I'm inclined to buy the Sapphire because of the good experiences I've had with them but more than anything I want to get the best performance for my money. Also, with Bitcoin dropping do you think GPU prices will also continue to drop? My upgrade is in preparation for BF5 which comes out later this year, so I could wait. Thanks!

Hello, my friend wants to build a PC that can handle some gaming and his budget is around 600$. I have an old Sapphire R9 270 from my first build and I was going to sell it to him. I was wondering if the R9 270 is still worth using or if I should tell him to get a newer graphics card that is within his budget.

Hey y'all. I'm turning to you because nobody else can help me. I have a Sapphire RX480 8GB card that has been in the computer for about a year now with no problem. Recently I noticed the card was getting hot and the fans were getting loud so I had a tech expert check it out and fix the fans. Everything was fine for a few days until the card would either lose connection to the monitor (connected via DisplayPort) or completely crash the PC. Just today I was able to launch and play Fortnite with no issue. I intentionally left the PC running when I left the house for an hour and the monitor was off on standby again. I've changed the cable from the power supply and I've tried the second slot for DisplayPort with no luck. Anyone know what I am doing wrong or what is going on? The card is lit up right now but it won't even let me boot without crashing if it's plugged in. Oh, and the temperatures were low, even under load. Specs: i7-3770K Asus z77 pro-v 1tb Seagate hard drive 16gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance memory 2133 mhz Corsair h60 (2018) Thank you in advance.

Hi guys, I have these cards: Sapphire RX480 Mining editions - Pictures of the PCB and the Single HDMI port. As you can see from the photos, this is a card that has a single HDMI port used as a anchor for the metal plate that goes on the case. As I'm turning off my rig soon, I'd wanna re-purpose these cards, make them useful again. My question is - can I make this work? Considering this single HDMI port. Can you see if it's connected to the PCB or could I get any reference to the RX480 cards that aren't mining edition. Google search has given me no results. Anyone have similar experience? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! I am facing difficulties with my desktop. From last 2 week my PC screen started flickering during some gaming and restarts. Now it started to create problem even in daily activities without gaming also. I power on my PC and it tells me no hdmi signal. I checked with different hdmi cables. I have a R9 390 8gb gpu. All working fine. Also did a windows setup. But same thing happening. Now when I turn on my PC, sometimes it doesn't even recognize the the hdmi signal. I force restart it and once in a 100 times it found the signal.Sometimes revert from full hd to lower resolution does the trick. But not every time. After sometime it stat flickering even in lower resolution. During some gaming like in Fifa18, a error popup saying directx function failed 'Get Device Removed Reason. Pop up also says the problem may caused by graphics card driver crashing and also to make sure supported graphics card with more than 1GB vram. Funny because i have the latest driver along with 8gb vram. Please help!!!

I finally got a "new" video card, a 2GB HD 7850, but I see in Afterburner it keeps it at 900mV idle but it shoots up to 1138 under load, these are the default settings afterburner opened with, I was wondering if it's safe to run it at this voltage. Edit: forgot pic
-
I recently got this HD 7850, it's got the Dual-X cooler on it, but for some reason the second fan spins only when the first one reaches around 80 or 90%. When the first reaches 80%, the second one wants to spin, it's moving, but it won't do anything, even if helped, only at 90% it starts to actually spin. It works fine otherwise, temps never getting too high (highest I got, which is what made me create this thread, was 82 in Crysis 2). I would like to know if there would be a way to set the second fan to always spin, rather than only spin at 80+% of the first one.

Basically I had Blender open, along with some YouTube and other pages in the background. All of a sudden the screen goes black and all I could notice were some brown lines in the corner. This image I found sort-of describes it, except they were possibly horizontal and definitely not covering the whole display. The thing is, it happened so fast, you could barely notice it. I'm sure it didn't last a second. Nothing crashed, YouTube didn't even seem to cut off the audio. Everything came back as sudden as it went dark. Blender seemed to be more zoomed in than before, but maybe I was in the middle of doing that anyway. By now I've looked through the components for any visual damage, particularly capacitors, but everything I could see seemed fine. Although looking at the 390 PCB now, there are quite a bit more of them than the single line you can see through the heat sink. Still, am I right in thinking that even a single bad capacitor would be noticeable via more constant symptoms? So far putting on some load with Far Cry 3 shows no issues. Took out my PSU for a closer look as a cap seemed suspect, but it appeared to be the same yellow-green dab of paint that the all the others are marked with, just a bit thicker in the crease. Also checked if everything's seated nicely too. Anything else worth checking? Things to look for in case it happens again? What are the chances this was a software glitch and not a hardware issue? Any similar, known issues with this combo or any separate piece of software? Just really not liking the idea of having hardware failure in this 'still kinda new, but old enough to be out of warranty' stage of ownership.
