FIVR voltage control did not exist until the 4th Gen CPUs were released so you will not be able to use Intel XTU or ThrottleStop for voltage control.

Gigabyte used to hide the advanced bios settings.  Try pressing CTRL+F1 in the bios and see if any new menus become available.

JJLabrier reacted to Greasy Bacon in Two AIO Liquid coolers in my M1 Ncase (pictures)
I may be new to this forum, but i'm no stranger to computers. I recently built my new rig in the m1 ncase and I have a weird thing for AIO liquid coolers, and the m1 ncase is one of the only cases to have two 120mm mounts in the spots that can fit AIO coolers (even though it probably wasn't intended to have two) while still being small enough to my liking.

Unfortunately I have not made a build log for this, I do however I have finished pictures and would like to share.

Also pardon the messy room, my room gets bad every time I build a computer and boxes get everyone and my desk has tons of stuff on it all the time.

    The Build:
Case: M1 Ncase (of course) Mobo: Asus Z97I-PLUS mini-ITX RAM: HyperX FURY 16GB CPU: Intel i7-4790K PSU: Silverstone 600w SFX Storage: Samsung 256 GB SSD (programs & OS)/Western Digital Black 2TB (Files and Projects). GPU: EVGA 980 Hybrid Fans: Noctua NF-F12 iPPC
I'll also spare everyone extremely large images, I have a link here to the google drive with the higher resolution versions.

    HIGHER RES IMAGES: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_tJIlh0Lks9fm5ZekRDbGd3c0J1Z2w2bWEwUU40RVZXMks4TVZVLUNUQlRINWlxQndqbWs&usp=sharing

Also had fun taking pictures of the mouse and keyboard just for fun. (and yes, the keyboard is modded with cherry mx green switches. my friend helped me with that).

Just to clear everything up. I currently have the fans blowing outwards of the case. So they're an exhaust and all the holes act as passive intake making it a negative pressure build. However I've looked into getting fan filters for all the possible points of entry to reduce long term dust build up (even though it's a lot harder when it's a passive intake).

Also lets not forget temps, On the serious business side of things, in this config. I don't go above 54 Celsius under full load on CPU or GPU while the ambient temperature of the case is well below that. Any passive intake spot feels cold to the touch and the exhaust is an oven leaving all the hot air that would've been in my case otherwise.

Thankfully, (yes thankfully). The loudest thing in the computer is the Western Digital black drive at the bottom even under full load even when the western digital drive isn't in use, it's still more audible. Which means no matter (mostly) the scenario I will have a quiet PC during full load scenarios while still having a computer small enough to fit on my desk. sweet.

Also as a side note, I haven't weighed it yet, but this thing is dense. Like this thing is decently heavy for it's size. I'll have to weigh it and post that.

That's about it, if anyone is curious about anything or any questions let me know! This build was pretty interesting and I would say the hardest part would be fitting the GPU in. The current position it's in right now is the ONLY way I was able to get it to fit.

JJLabrier got a reaction from Citadelen in 970 Ti?
For the dual GPUs, it just uses one of the GPUs. I'm not sure exactly how they score it but it's definitely not real world gaming performance that's for sure.

    JJLabrier got a reaction from XplosiveNoctua99 in 980 Ti or 2 970's?
Hi guys, so I currently have 1 GTX 970 in my rig, and it has been great to me, but after I upgraded to a 3440x1440 monitor, the single 970 struggles to play graphically demanding games at high settings. Especially Witcher 3, which I really want to play at max! So I've been thinking, should I just buy another 970 for about $330, or should I sell my current 970 and buy the 980Ti coming out in just a few days (June 2) which will be $799 minus however much I end up selling my 970 for?

I know that buying an extra 970 will cost less, so that is not as much of a concern to me. I'm more concerned about the long run, particularly DirectX 12, where rumors are that SLI setups are gonna scale much better. Do you guys think that SLI 970's would be a lot better than a single 980 Ti once DX12 comes out?

    The line
    (*students).tests = new double[numOfTests];
only allocates an array for the first profile object. You need to loop through all the students and make an array for each one.

That's not the point though. The point he's making is availability. Not everyone has microcenter available. If it is available, then yes its a better deal, but for most people, this shell shocker is better.

Have you thought about getting a 21:9 monitor at all? I have the 34UM95 and can attest to how awesome 21:9 is! I'm also running a GTX 970 and it runs most games above 60 fps on the 3440x1440 resolution. If you have a little extra cash, there's a curved version too which Linus did do a review on, and I think 21:9 monitors really benefit from a curved display because of how wide they are. Just my 2 cents.

I was just thinking, since it's illegal now for carriers to carrier lock phones, is it also illegal for them to lock the boot loader of phones?

It would be really sweet if I could just get verizon to unlock my S3 bootloader so I can finally install a custom ROM.
